The hotel

You could be forgiven for thinking the Apsara is only for water babies, with its beachfront setting, infinity swimming pool, villa pool, two kids' pools, pool villa upgrades, water slide and of course, the obligatory Jacuzzi. But there’s more to the Apsara than sun, sea and sand. Set in unspoilt tropical greenery, along Pakarang Beach, this All Inclusive haven offers a range of drinks and things to do. There’s the Thai cookery classes, Thai boxing, spa treatments, bike rental and kayaking to name but a few!

Where is it

In tropical Phang Nga, set in a secluded location along Khao Lak's Pakarang Beach. Transfer time from Phuket Airport: 1 hour 30 minutes.

Superior Rooms overlook the gardens or swimming pool and have 1 king-size or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child or 2 adults and 2 children.

Unlimited non-alcoholic drinks from 11:00am-11:00pm at Ila Lounge. International buffet lunch including beverages, wines, local beer and soft drinks from 12:00pm-2:30pm at Kinnaree Restaurant. Afternoon tea/coffee, sandwiches, cakes, snacks, cookies and pastries from 4:30pm-5:30pm at Ila Lounge. The overall stay in this resortwas phenomenal. The interior, and architecture was good. I love the vibe of having a beach near the resort it was a great experience~ Ada was our server on our last day and her customer service was on top~ over all great experience !

Serene resort. Sound of the waves crashing into the shore while reading a book or swimming in the pool or simply enjoying the heat of the sun. The place is really clean and landscape looked after meticulously. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

A beautiful setting and hotel - staff second to none special shout out to Ray and Wae at the main restaurant as they were amazing professional but at the same time friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our plans for the day. Food on the whole is good although repetitive. Drinks very good but again can’t understand why can’t get a drink at beach bar but can fr them from Illia and take them across baffles me . Evenings there is little or no entertainment and even at our ages were pretty bored of an evening. A la carte excellent use both your tickets at Napoli cos cheap as chips to eat at Kinneree. Both have lovely food and sometimes it a treat to get served rather than Go yourself. Excursions go to night market and book with them do not buy Tui as they double the price - we booked through the one in middle of night market and they were fabulous. You can wander behind Memories bar at beach in front of Apsara. Villas and there small elephant rescue where you can feed bathe elephants - nice walk after breakfast and a thrill to feed these gentle beasts. Read less

We are currently staying at the Aspara resort Hotel and from as soon as we arrived we were treated as special guests with a lovely reception being dealt with by Suzy at the desk wh could not help enough. The hotel is right on the beach and has great facilities. The beach bar karkonis is stunning, and the staff here, as in the rest of the hotel, were always smiling and ever so helpful and I particularly enjoyed the staff joining in on a sin song. During our stay Golf the manager arranged a trip for us having a private all-day trip which was stunning and exactly met our expections. Cannot wait to return to this stunning venue. Read less
