Where is it

A short boat ride from Phuket's east coast, in sheltered waters overlooking Phang Nga Bay. Phuket Town is 30 minutes away by road and boat. Transfer time from Phuket Airport: 50 minutes.

Hotel information

116 suites, as well as the highly recommended 120 villas with private pools. All with air-conditioning, patio/balcony, complimentary WiFi access, fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, flat-screen satellite TV, bath robes and slippers, safe, and bathroom amenities. Deluxe Suites are located in the quiet gardens towards the back of the resort, a short distance away from the main reception area, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 people.

Outdoor Jacuzzi Suites are close to the Deluxe Suites with an open plan interior and outdoor decked terrace with jacuzzi, sleeping maximum 3 people.

All villas have a spacious open plan living area and and kitchen, a private terrace overlooking the gardens with private pool, and master bedroom with either 1 king-size bed or twin beds. 1-Bedroom Garden View Pool Villas are in the centre of the resort on the hill, sleeping maximum 3 people. 1-Bedroom Sea View Pool Villas are similar and are in the same location but have high views across Phang Nga Bay.

I think the most important part of this submission is the wonderful staff we encountered during our stay. I would rank the attention we received as the best in our many holidays in Thailand. One of our special friends was NUREEYAH who enjoyed a birthday during our stay. She was one of the most attentive staff at the resort but I don't want to take anything away from the other staff who were also excellent. We enjoyed her company as we did with the many other staff we came into contact with. I was wheelchair bound at the time we visited and the staff assisted me when ever they could. Our Villa was located some distance from the entertainment area and as I could not walk far at all, we had to rely on the gold buggies to convey us to our meals. The resort is quite a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. Book accommodation near the meal areas is my suggestion. Our other friends we met at the resort who I would like to put forward as displaying commitment to their roles are MARK, MINNY, JOY, NUI, JA, HONEY GIE AND PUN. I think it was PUN who attended to the tea/coffee, etc at meals. This young lady did not stop moving in the entire time we were eating our meals. I have the utmost respect for her. The only thing that concerned me about PUN was that she did not smile. I hope she does not have family or other issues that impact her life. I could not fault her attenion to her duties. Most impressive. The area at the resort is more than anyone could wish for. All tastes catered for. The food is to die for and I can't fault it at all. As first stated, the resort is excellent but I found the requirment to rely on vessels to travel to and from the island but that was me with my mobility problems. You will enjoy yourself for sure. The boat trips to and from the mainland were reliable and punctual at any time of the day or night. Booking tours and day trips was not a problem. Food was great and a good variety available. The staff were excellent, very friendly and efficient. The service they provide is exceptional, they are a credit to the resort. Our special thanks to U Nut, Ohm, Kob, Bert and C for looking after us so well during our stay. I would definitely recommend the resort, we absolutely loved it. A truly wonderful quiet paradise reachable by boat. Wonderful nature, friendly staff, great villas with private pools and great facilities. Barcelo just took over management and is busy renovating the resort so it will only become better! The atmosphere on the island and in the resort is great. It also makes the improvement points less irritating. The management was clear about these improvement points and shared their renovating plans with the guests. Be fair and honest about what is not on level yet and showing that you’re working on it is a true example of hospitality for me. The renovation activities however never brought our great short vacation pleasure in danger since they tend to limit the hinderance where they can ánd they are openly communicating about is. How refreshing is that. The staff is very helpful and overly friendly, some seem to lack a bit of hospitality experience but nothing not trainable. Overall we felt extremely welcome and everywhere we came we received friendly smiles. We come back and we suggest everyone visiting phuket do the same. We’ve finished our journey there for our last 3 nights and we together with our kids had a blast. Thank you Barcelo Coconut for this great experience! Read less
