My wife and I just returned from a stay at Hammock Cove. Based on the price point to stay at this resort there should be a much higher delivery on customer service, food and quality of the resort and villas I will start with the positives. A select few of the staff members were fantastic and very friendly especially the men and women working at the beach and pools. They were fantastic. We had great conversations and service there. The pools, beach and cove itself were amazing and always very nicely kept in the public areas. The massages at the Serenity Spa are also worth the money but not much else. The cons stand out more especially for a resort that charges $10k USD for a stay. First the quality of the villa itself leaves much to be desired. We had rain and cockroaches entering our room via the wide open space in the main door. When an employee tells you to put a towel across the bottom of the door to keep the cockroaches out then-that is a major issue. The private pool also had stone breaking apart which left us walking across concrete stones everyday. The biggest issues with the resort itself were the ambassador program, food and customer service. Our experience with the ambassador program was awful. They never made a single reservation at the lighthouse for dinner for our entire stay until the last night, even though that was the first topic covered when we arrived. We arrived at dinner every night to be told we didn’t have a reservation. They also never delivered an itinerary for the entirety of our stay even though we made multiple requests both about the dinner reservations and itinerary issues. We never saw our personal ambassador unless we called which we only did one time to order room service. The ambassador program should have been the highlight of this resort but it was the biggest disappointment. The other customer service through out the resort was not great as well minus a select few. No one cared to have conversations and it seemed like non one wanted to be there nor did they want to deal with the guests. Finally the food was a disappointment too. They have a very limited menu so if you have special needs especially with allergies or just didn’t like the offering that day you were left to have pizza or a burger. The light house dining experience left much to be desired. The menu was too focused on presentation of dishes instead of the food itself. My wife and I left hungry most nights especially with the limited menu offerings. The best meal each day was breakfast with the fresh coffee as well as fresh squeezed orange juice. I don’t believe this resort is worth the money but a lot of people love this resort based on the reviews. We just wanted to give our fair and honest opinion. We will not be returning based on our experience which is disappointing to say the least. Read less

My husband and I recently returned from a weeklong vacation at Hammock Cove. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with luxurious amenities, this is the place to go. Our villa was beautiful! Our outdoor patio with its own infinity pool, various seating, and a bar was amazing! We really enjoyed our dinners at The Lighthouse Restaurant as Chef Marco and his staff made the most delicious dinners! We enjoyed our cooking class with Chef Marco as well. The Bistro was great for breakfast and lunch too. I took advantage of the yoga classes and spa treatments while there and I loved them both! All of the ambassadors and other staff members catered to our every need. The resort is extremely clean, and everyone was very friendly. We loved the peace and quiet of the resort! While on the beach, service was great for drinks and food as well. We chose to stay at the resort as we have been to this island before, but there are many excursions available if you want to explore the island. Hammock Cove is a wonderful vacation destination! Returned for a second year to Hammock Cove. In fact with a little trepidation (we never go anywhere twice!). We shouldn't have worried. Hammock Cove We had an amazing stay at Hammock Cove. We stayed 9 days, 8 nights. It's definitely on the pricier side with the inclusive fee, but we loved our stay. This property boasts 40-something villas each with private plunge pools. There are two types: waterfront (closest to the water) and waterview. There is food availability 24/7 and room service. There are 2 restaurants and several bars. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. There is wifi throughout the resort. Everyday, we would hit the gym, have room-service breakfast, use some type of water feature (main pool, beach, private villa plunge pool), play pickleball, and eat dinner. One day we did one excursion: the stingray and tortoise encounters. There are others we did not do, like the jeep safaris, calypso cat boat charters, etc. Villa Each villa has a private plunge pool. The beds are king sized and super comfy. The villas are double occupancy. The bathroom is large, double shower head, double vanity. Plenty of towels. Air Conditioner and ceiling fan. There's plenty of books for you to read. We brought some with us that we read and left there after we finished. Inside, a cell phone is used to call your ambassador. An ambassador is assigned to your villa and can make all your reservations for you. Ours were Rondel and Jhavawn, who were excellent and helpful. The villa is also stocked with a full mini bar of alcohols (gin, vodka, rum, wines, prosecco, sodas, water, keurig with coffees and teas) and nuts. The gym The gym is one of the best gyms we've ever been to at a vacation resort. All the equipment is new. There are machines for chest, back, legs, arms, free weights, benches, a cable machine, treadmills, bikes, and a rower. We used the gym every morning. It's air conditioned. Plenty of water and towels. It's next to the Spa, which we didn't use, but has a lot of treatments, such as facials and massages. It's also next to the gift shop, which we also did not use. Beach The beach is very beautiful. At first it seems small, but there is plenty of room and never felt busy even though the hotel was quite full (likely since a lot of guests use the main pool and private villa pools). The ones who work on the beach are super nice and make sure you have water as well as drinks or food brought to your beach chairs. Julio is the absolute best!!!! What a hard worker, we loved him; he was always so cheerful and nice. Also great are Tashawna, Natalia, Chelsea, Eric, Tevin, Nashila, Hector, and others whose names I am forgetting (I apologize, but everyone was great!). They also service the main pool area and make sure you have water, food and drinks to order. Activities include taking a ride on the hobie cat, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, lounging on a circular raft (your drinks can be brought to you on the water!!), swimming, snorkeling. The beach also does some food activities at noon, such as oysters & bubbles, caviar & bubbles, seafood grill, BBQ, and others. Pool The main pool is a 3-tier infinity pool with several areas to lounge in. Plenty of towels. The water is so refreshing and the view is spectacular. The aforementioned individuals service the pool too. The pool itself is just stunning Pickleball There are 2 pickleball courts. We would play around 5 pm when the sun would not touch the courts. It was definitely a fun time. Bars There are several bars; one on the beach, one at Irina's, one at the Lighthouse, one below the Lighthouse called Nobody Knows Rum Bar (where they do rum tastings every sunday- Gabriel was great!) FOOD The Lighthouse. Amazing food. High end. Chef Marco (from Italy) is a masterchef. It is clear he has trained extensively and loves his craft. He oversees other chefs as well. We attended a Wednesday demo of how they make some dishes. We were allowed in the kitchen to watch them cook and make two dishes. This was one of my favorite activities on the site. The kitchen is exceptionally clean. We were given wine while Chef Marco explained the dishes and then made them with Chef Nadia and Chef Alex. We were given the dishes for lunch (2 full size dishes!) and both were delicious. We ate at the Lighthouse every night except the first because were so full from lunch, and Irina's Sushi night (see below). On Wednesdays is a 7 course tasting menu; it was so so great and had dishes such as dick, shrimp gyoza, sous vide sirloin, and lovely desserts. Every night there are signature dishes and desserts, including homemade ice cream. One of my favorite meals was the Branzino for two, which was filetted at the table-side by Chef Marco. It was the most delicious fish I've ever had. Another great meal was lobster night; the lobsters are fresh from Barbuda. Great service from waiters such as Collet, Camara, Desa, Llasmin, Troy (host), Kiev and others whose names I am forgetting, but everyone was so kind and professional. It does not feel like an all-inclusive restaurant. It feels like a Michelin star restaurant. There is an option for a charge to do a private dinner at the Pink Gazebo on the beach. We booked this, but after 2 nights at the Lighthouse, canceled it because the Lighthouse was so so good and included already. Irina's We ate here for lunch and dinner on day 1, lunch on our last day, and several times ordered at the beach/pool. It has light bites and bigger dishes. On Mondays is Sushi night. They had a delicious Sake Passion cocktail. The sushi and sashimi were fresh, delicious. Room service You can order 24/7; we always ordered breakfast to the room. Sometimes we would order a light bite around 4pm. They also have a late-night menu 11p-6a, which we did not use because we'd be fast asleep by then. Devil's Bridge One of the natural sightseeing attractions is about a 5-10 minute walk from the property. We walked there three times during our stay. Be sure to bring some cash as there are local vendors Cons Our room looked directly at the Verandah, the sister property. I presume the better view is near the Hammock Cove beach or closer to the Devil's Bridge area. Sometimes the Verandah had loud music at night. In between the 2 facilities, there is construction ongoing, which was loud during the day. I would have liked more snacks/foods for the minibar rather than just nuts. We have stayed at other similar resorts such as Nayara in Costa Rica which has similar villas and had a ton of snacks. However, Nayara isn't all-inclusive so I guess the upside is you can always order a light bite to the room at Hammock Cove. Overall: will go back! Read less

We had a wonderful 12 night return to Hammock Cove. When you repeat a visit there is always the possibility that things won’t be as good but this was certainly not the case. Our vacation was as good as the first time, probably better as we were more relaxed and not doing the trips we did the first time. Food was excellent and Chef Marco retains his enthusiasm and drive and was so interesting to talk to. It really is fine dining in an all inclusive environment. Not sure what experiences people have who don’t rate the food. We just loved the nightly choices and the beach bbq. Staff are great, helpful, keen and so ready to engage with any requests. Again we didn’t really use the ambassador system as we are pretty self sufficient. It remains very much a resort for relaxation and peace and quiet with the odd noisy individuals in a distinct minority. We walked to Devils Bridge again and this time made the short walk (1 mile) to Long Bay - go early as it gets very hot but it is worth a look. Taxis are pretty good value and we had a short trip to see Half Moon Bay, Galley Bay and the iconic view of English Harbour from Shirley Heights. We also did the Calypso Cat again , an enjoyable 4 hour excursion. Only minor issues, room towels rather thin for a luxury hotel and beach opens late and closes early. We would have liked beach towels out consistently by 8am and the bar open until least 4pm but accept this may be due to lack of people as we noted that often the beach was almost deserted by 3.30. If you are looking for a quality, relaxing experience with great food, this is the place to be. Read less
