The hotel

Art deco style and relaxed beach vibes is what the Gale South Beach is all about. On one side you've got Collins Avenue, a bustling hubbub of city lights, sights and sounds. On the other is the beach, with the relaxed promenade and white sands leading to the Atlantic Ocean. And at the Gale, you've got an infinity-edge pool to plunge into, a delicious Italian restaurant to eat at, and rooms decorated with the beach and ocean as their inspiration. Where is it

On Collins Avenue, a short stroll from the beach and promenade. A 4-minute walk to Lincoln Road, and 10 minutes to the top of Ocean Drive. Transfer time from Miami International Airport: 25 minutes.

Hotel information

All rooms have complimentary WiFi access, 55-inch HDTV, premium bath amenities, hairdryer, safe, iron and ironing board, and bathrobes.

Signature Rooms are 250-325 sq ft with city views, and either 1 double bed, 1 queen-size bed, or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Dolce Italian (indoor and outdoor dining and drinks; open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch). Medium Cool (cocktail lounge). 

Infinity-edge swimming pool. Gym. Bicycle rental. Access to the beach club at the Shelborne Hotel (including 2 beach chairs and towels). Water sports rentals* including paddle boards, wave runners and parasailing.

For rooms that state they are 'Excluding Resort Fee', there is a $40 charge plus tax per room, per day (payable locally, subject to change). 

Resort fee includes:- Internet access - Beach club access at the Shelborne hotel with 2 lounge chairs and towels; Beach cruiser bikes; 2 bottles of water daily; 24-hour book collection access; Daily manager's toast; 15% discount at Pizza Bar and Bodega Taqueria. Cornelius and Roxana were wonderful. I was worried about noise and they made sure we were taken care of. Great quiet, clean room the night before our cruise! Loved the terrace! Rosetta Bakery is great nearby. Thank you Gale Hotel South Beach!

My husband and I stayed here only one night just before heading back to the UK. We were welcomed by Grot ( I hope I got his name right :) ) and Roxana in a very professional but at the same time, friendly manner. I had a nice chat with the male member of reception staff while we were waiting for our taxi. I have to mention Thomas as well, he helped us with the luggage and made sure we got on the right taxi, we really apprecciated it. Rooms are a bit small, but for a one night stay, I can't complain. Received excellent service from hotel staff most notably Keith, Gordon and Melissa. Hotel is a great location, footsteps to the beach and close to great dining options. Strong WiFi connection for business travelers. Spacious and clean room.

The location was great, Dolce restaurant was excellent & the staff was truly amazing! Ramona & Cornelius made our stay! We loved how close to the beach it was & that room service was speedy & the food was great! Extra bonus for Espresso Machine in room & super helpful staff!
