The wait staff in the restaurant was also very attentive. Our room was huge, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is only about 4 blocks from Pikes Market, and about 6 blocks to a shopping mall where you can catch the monorail to the Space Needle, Chihuly Glass Museum, and Museum of Pop Culture. "When you checked-in they should have told you that" (which they did not). "We are understaffed and replacing one of the vendors". I asked to see a manager but the answer was that "he is out of town". Even in a 2 star hotels they clean the room every day. Extremely poor service and very poor management of the hotel. Stay away from this hotel. Read less

I stayed here as part of a business trip. I did not pick the hotel nor pay for it, so perhaps that colors this review a bit. Regardless, starting with the good: the lobby is nice, check in was easy, the staff was friendly, and the bed was comfy. The room had a... unique... personality. I liked it, but I could see someone saying the carpet looks like from the 90s or the wallpaper looks a bit gaudy. The shower had a lot of power; a bit too much for me, and there didn't seem to be a way to turn it down. My room was near the street corner, but I didn't hear much of the traffic outside and it was easy to sleep. So, what's odd? First, the only room service available is for the morning time and is apparently sent with housekeeping. Not what I would expect, and it caught me off guard when I dialed for some after a long day of work. What's the deal with that? Moreover, housekeeping will only make up your room if you ask the front desk. I have never seen a hotel do that before. I did ask for my room to be made up one morning and it was done by the time I got back at the end of the day. Reading through the other reviews, I'm clearly not the only one off-put by these facts. I would consider staying here again if room service was not restricted to the mornings. Sometimes, you just want to relax and eat something, especially after a long day. Read less

The lobby is beautiful and the front desk agent Alejandra was very professional at check-in! She also gave me a surprise upgrade to a really nice suite with a view which was much appreciated. The bed was cozy and the linens were high quality. Thanks for the great stay!

Thanks to the wonderful front desk team member and their management at the Kimpton Vintage we were able to move our reservation from the Kimpton Vintage to the Kimpton Monaco. There was nothing wrong with the Kimpton Vintage and it is a lovely hotel. We simply moved because we were staying the weekend the breakfast at the Vintage is served in the Tulio restaurant which is closed for breakfast over the weekend. This meant that we'd have to walk one block to the sister hotel, Monaco, for breakfast. Between the two hotels the staff were excellent in helping us transfer our reservation to the Monaco. This was very much appreciated. Our stay the Monaco was great. The hotel staff are very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We'd like to give a special shout out to Leanne Larkin, who is the concierge, as she was very kind, patient, and she was wonderful in accommodating our requirements. The hotel location is excellent and the rooms are spacious and well maintained. We prefer buffet style breakfasts because we like to have a variety of options and the breakfast at the Monaco has a limited menu but a sufficient number of choices. The staff were wonderful, polite and addressed anything that we needed promptly and politely. Our stay was wonderful and we will will be returning there for our next stay. Parking: As with most hotels in the area, parking is expensive, and there are two other options. Street parking which is free between 8pm and 8am, and limited to a maximum of 2 hours per location during the day. There are plenty of garages available that are reasonably priced for Seattle, (which has one of the highest rates for parking around), be aware that many close in the evening so you need to plan getting your vehicle out before they close. Street parking is free on Sundays and public holidays, with no time restrictions. Read less
