It was an outdated room. Small beds but they are comfortable. Room was clean upon entry but not much lighting in there. Lots of mirrors though which was great considering we stayed at the Plaza last fall, and they only had one mirror in the whole room in the bathroom. Fridge was a nice thing to have also. Pool area was ok its modern but still prefer other pools on strip. We liked the magic mike show. We also liked the convenience of the monorail on this property. We used that primarily to get around. Casino cocktail service was extremely slow. Did not game much here, I prefer my MGM rewards card for gaming. This was our first stay here. It was fine for the price. Wi-Fi was not working all weekend and they had sent a text out indicating it would be out. We got our resort fees waived as this was a major issue for us to not have Wi-Fi. We did not eat on property we had plans elsewhere for that, but dining seems ok. Jose Andres probably best option here. For the price it was sufficient, but I am still a fan of other places on strip. Check-in at Sahara was overcrowded and they are strict in forcing you to wait until 3 pm, unless you agree to pay early check-in fees of around $30. My room was clean but needed repairs, with a torn and stained couch, torn wallpaper, and marks on the walls in various places. The WiFi was awful and I could not have video calls or do much else without it constantly dropping and cutting out. It didn’t help that my cell signal on T-Mobile was also awful in that spot. Outside there’s not much to walk to, and some surrounding areas are sketchy and seem potentially unsafe. They said the fitness center was in the Blanca tower, but my room key did not work in the Blanca tower elevator, so I couldn’t access it. When I called down to the front desk to ask about this, my room phone broke mid-call (!?). When I called down from a hallway phone to ask for my phone to be fixed, the staff put me on an infinite hold. Once I did access a different fitness center, it was quite good though. Poker tournament was sparsely attended and seemed to be almost all regulars/pros, but everyone was nice. Finally, my AC kept kicking on and off at night so my sleep was very disrupted, as the room kept getting hot and then cold and then hot again. Read less

I absolutely love this hotel and all the staff here but I was highly disappointed to see that the pool was closed for two days of my 3 day stay. It was the man reason why I came to lay at the pool. Hope they get whatever staffing issue figured out because the only other option they have was clearly over capacity upstairs — the main adult pool… Read more

Hope they get whatever staffing issue figured out because the only other option they have was clearly over capacity upstairs — the main adult pool downstairs was the one that was closed. It’s a lot bigger and just a lot more comfortable and spacious. Read less

After travelling for 17 hours the last thing we needed was to have to queue up for an hour and a half to check in. This was at 7 o'clock at night. Around 3 am the following morning we were woken up by construction work outside. It went on for a long time. We went to reception to request a move away from the construction noise. We had booked for a 9 night stay. We were informed that we could request a move but it wasn't guaranteed. The construction work was nightly from midnight until 6 am. We asked if we could have a refund to book another hotel away from the construction. We couldn't as we had booked through a third party. We could however move to a different tower at considerable cost. We contacted the company we had booked the holiday with and to cut a long story short, they contacted the Sahara and we had a refund for the remaining 8 nights. The receptionist at the Sahara was very unhelpful. The company we booked with were anazing and sorted our problem out very quickly. So thank you to Netflights, especially to Helen the Customer Resolution Consultant. Read less

Room was clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. Monorail is in the Sahara to ride between all sights on Vegas Strip. Casino was nice size and food at restaurants on site were good. Staff friendly and pool was awesome.
