The hotel

At Disney’s All-Star Resorts, larger-than-life sports, music and movie icons surround the rooms as Disney's quality and unique styling is everywhere you look. All three hotels are situated close to the Theme Parks, providing a holiday home for rest and relaxation right in the heart of the action. The stage is set at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, as massive figures from your favourite Disney movies take a starring role— from the dotted pups of 101 Dalmations to the playful toys of Andy’s Room. The expansive main pool is inspired by Disney's Fantasia, but if you're looking for something a bit more relaxing - the hockey rink styled pool inspired by The Mighty Ducks film series might be your thing. And the theme continues in the food court as you find yourself in what resembles a grand movie theatre lobby with endless choices to curb your hunger. If being surrounded by Disney movies isn't enough, enjoy watching these films under the stars at night along with campfire activities for all the family to enjoy - a magical way to end the day.

In Disney's Animal Kingdom Resort area (approximately 15 minutes from the park by coach). Distance from Orlando International Airport: 24 miles.

Hotel information

Rooms and suites are situated on 3 floors in 10 buildings with 2 lifts per building. All have air-conditioning, cable TV with Disney Channel, complimentary WiFi access, coffee maker, safe, mini-fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. All rooms offer views of either the car park, courtyard, or pool area.

All Star Movies Standard Rooms have 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children, plus one child under 3 years in a cot. 

All Star Movies Preferred Rooms have a preferred resort location. Rooms have 2 double beds, sleeping a maximum 4 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children, plus one child under 3 years old in a cot. 

Please note: cots must be requested at time of booking.

Use of the Walt Disney World Resort Transportation System is included in your stay. Complimentary hotel parking

World Premiere Food Court (cinema-themed food court with a variety of stations, open for all day dining). Silver Screen Spirits Pool Bar (serving snacks and a wide range of beverages).

Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. During this time, Guests are welcome to swim in the Duck Pond Pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort.

Great value, clean, spacious rooms. Food court has improved since our last visit in 2022 IMO. Many more selections along with "specials" were a welcome change. I am a very light sleeper so room doors closing/slamming late at night along with flushing toilets were a bother. Strongly suggest paying a bit more for a preferred room do be closer to… Read more

:) Has everything you need. Good value. Close to Epcot, AK and HK. :( - rooms quite noisy, you can hear the toilet upstairs flushing. You can hear people upstairs walking around and dropping things on the floor which wakes you up. Only real quiet hours are 12-630 Tip: Ask for a top floor room to avoid noise

Terrible service. They put us in back of resort with all the employees that paid half what we did. The bus takes over an hour to pick up at mk and hring you back. The restaurant was closed by the time we made it back from over filled bus with screaming babies. They will not do late check out. The rooms smell like mold and fertilizer. I will spend… Read more

This is the best choice of the three All-Star hotels. The buildings in the hotel are laid out such that, on average, they're closer to the lobby, restaurant, and bus stop. This is the best choice of the three All-Star hotels. The buildings in the hotel are laid out such that, on average, they're closer to the lobby, restaurant, and bus stop. So, you're less likely to end up with a long walk early in the morning or late at night. A plus is that the buildings on the north side (Mighty Ducks and 101 Dalmations, buildings 1-4), are also close to the bus stop at All-Star Music. This gives you two options, which can be especially handy if you're coming back at park close. And, unlike Music and Sports, Movies isn't the default home for any special visiting group, so you're less likely to have issues with large groups of children/teenagers using the pools or buses. The above also means that, unfortunately, Movies tends to book up faster and get to higher rates before the other All-Stars. So, plan ahead. Rooms are basic, and pretty much identical to the other value resorts at Disney World. If you plan on taking advantage of Early Entry, I strongly suggest trying to get on one of the first few buses of the day. Although the buses are set to start going to the park one hour before Early Entry starts, there is usually a bus the leaves the resort ten to twenty minutes before that. If I'm staying on property on the cheap, this is as cheap as I'll go. Read less

Pros- Resort is clean. Rooms were very nice for a value resort. Cons- very limited kids menu for all meals. Pool staff is very unfriendly. Some of the rudest staff we’ve come into contact with. Would’ve rather paid more and stayed somewhere with a larger kids menu and nicer staff.
