The hotel

A sure family favourite, Disney's Pop Century celebrates fads of the 1950s through to the 90s. There's something for everyone here - you'll love the themed pools, complete with water jets, and you can dine in a relaxed fashion at the food court. When the night rolls around, enjoy movies under the stars, or head to the games arcade for an evening of laughs before heading to your room. And when you're ready to hit the parks, hop on the Skyliner, a new gondola that gives you amazing birds-eye views while taking you to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Came here for my son’s 5th birthday! Loved how this place was designed! Seems a lot like All Stars Resorts except this one was more on the historic side which was awesome! They had a huge lobby by check in where you’d see all the artifacts framed between the 50s to 00’s! They also had quite the timeline of Walt Disney along with the accomplishments of Disney World! They had an Arcade, Cafeteria & Store nearby! This place was just great overall and was nothing but positive vibes! Swimming pool & Laundromat was between all the buildings named after 50s, 60s, 70s and etc.! Staff here were amazing especially when it came to cleaning and maintenance! Management check with customers to make sure everything is fine so 5 stars for communication! I had a damaged TV in my room so I made sure they were aware of it! No complaints about that though! Just keep up the great work!!! Tips. Stop by Walmart to stash a case of water along with some snacks and/or dry food because their foods and drinks can be pricey and it ain’t worth overspending daily! Other than that.. Great resort! Ok, room only gets made up every other day. Not ideal on a two night stay. We also stayed at Universal Cabana bay which was better value for money. Decent location though. Preferred rooms are not ideal as noisy due to location. We just got lots of noise all the time.

This hotel is ostensibly the same as the three All-Star resorts, except it costs more. Also, there's the Skyliner. Personally, I would not pay extra for the Skyliner. For Early Entry, you will get to Hollywood Studios after people on buses and, because of the transfer at Caribbean Beach, you'll be behind everyone from that resort and, possibly, the Riviera, as well. For Epcot, you'll be at the back of the park (great if you're looking to ride Ratatouille -- but otherwise not very useful), but, again, behind those coming from Caribbean Beach, as well those walking from the Epcot-area resorts. If you are coming or going in the middle of the day when there's no line, it's great. Otherwise, you'll be getting up early to wait in line for them to start and again at night to get to Caribbean Beach, and possibly to transfer to Pop. The plus is that you're much less likely to have to deal with large groups than at the All-Stars. Particularly, those staying across the lake at Art of Animation tend to be families -- and you won't have to share buses with that resort. In my experience, Pop Century is little quieter and offers a less frenetic atmosphere than the All-Star resorts. If you're not willing to pay up to a moderate resort, this is probably your best option on property. Read less

My room wasn’t cleaned for the entire 4 weeks I was there, despite repeated requests. My privacy was invaded by hotel staff while I was changing clothes. When I complained about it, I was told it was a safety check. I bought my own broom to sweep the floor. There’s a hole in the wall, which I reported the day I checked in.
