Marriott on the Falls

Niagara Falls, Niagara

Virgin rating

The hotel

If you’re wanting to get the best up-close experience of Niagara Falls, then that’s exactly what the Marriott on the Falls will give you. When we say close-up, this is the nearest place to stay to those three famed Falls — Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil. If you want to get even closer, you’re in the perfect spot to head out on a boat on the waters. But you don’t have to if you don’t want to, as the hotel has an observation deck, a restaurant where you can eat and admire the views, and rooms where you can open the curtains each morning to the sight of the spectacular rushing waters.

Rate Scam!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had a reservation booked they sent me an email saying my rate is no longer available and I had to rebook at a new rate (which is double). Didn’t even call me just sent an email one week before my trip. Had I missed the email I would have shown up with no reservations. DO NOT BOOK HERE!

We arrived late Tuesday night at Marriott on the Falls. First, when looking for a hotel with a direst Falls view, Marriott exceeds as it has two locations on the Falls. One is Marriott Falls View and across the street is Marriott on the Falls. I mention this because it’s easy to confuse the two. We stayed at On the Falls. We did not have a pleasant experience the first night as we arrived late and tired looking forward to our 4 star hotel room on a top floor with Falls view. However, we arrived to a hot room. Called maintenance and it very slightly improved but the fan never stopped blowing hard. It was noisy and not comfortable. The next morning we again notified maintenance. He said there was nothing wrong but there is an issue with the fan. He recommended to the front desk to love us. This room was what we originally expected. It was what we had paid to receive from a four star hotel. So this is my issue, all I ever get from Marriott are apologies. I will not ask for up grade from Marriott as I am sure it’s not their policy. But let me make aware that when I have stayed at Hilton hotels, I always feel valued and they do everything to keep my business. I have pictures as well of the standard of room experience I have had and will post them when I can find the link. Read less

I walked into a super suite with the most gloriously stunning view 😍 The suite had a separate sitting room, a small kitchen and a bathroom I could only wish for in my own home. The bedroom screamed absolute relaxation and it was so incredibly comfortable. The staff were amazing and even sent up a bottle of wine to help us celebrate. The food from Milestones was delicious and was even better that we enjoyed it in bed lol. I couldn’t impress upon anyone more that if you’re looking for a magical stay here at Niagara Falls, look no further. You won’t be disappointed!! Read less

We stayed two nights in this hotel. We took a room with a falls view on a higher floor. This proved to be a great decision. We spent hours sitting at the window and watching the Niagara Falls at night with changing light show, sipping wine. The hotel is fine, rather big and touristic as expected. All the staff in restaurant were super nice and friendly. Read less

Very bad room service. Very rude staff, I called at front desk after we checked in for our coffee machine which is not working and called again and they said u called in less than 10 minutes it. They don't even check before giving rooms and not helping.
