The hotel

If you’re wanting to get the best up-close experience of Niagara Falls, then that’s exactly what the Marriott on the Falls will give you. When we say close-up, this is the nearest place to stay to those three famed Falls — Horseshoe, American and Bridal Veil. If you want to get even closer, you’re in the perfect spot to head out on a boat on the waters. But you don’t have to if you don’t want to, as the hotel has an observation deck, a restaurant where you can eat and admire the views, and rooms where you can open the curtains each morning to the sight of the spectacular rushing waters.

It was probably best view to the falls, but poor service. Check-in and check-out were smooth, parking was close and worth it. The room was small on the 31st floor, coffee maker was not working. No sufficient bath amenities. We called the front desk and ordered 3 times, but never received any. The coffee pot in the delivered breakfast was broken.… Read more

No sufficient bath amenities. We called the front desk and ordered 3 times, but never received any. The coffee pot in the delivered breakfast was broken. The rollover bed provided was useless and nobody can sleep on that for more than a few minutes. Overall awesome view from top floor if you can compromise on the room. Read less

Face it. You're booking this hotel for the view. The best part about a getaway when you're tired, is to be able to wake up, have a coffee in your PJs and sit and watch the falls. And this is excellent for this. You're treated to an exceptional view of the incredible Horseshoe Falls and the slightly more distant and less exciting American falls, which is wonderful from the standard Fallsview rooms, which feature a slightly shorter wall-to-wall window, with an unfortunately slightly noisy HVAC system dating the hotel below the window. Upper level rooms feature bigger windows which are truly floor to ceiling, wall to wall and are exceptional. Turn the sofa around to face the window. Unfortunately, sofa is uncomfortable, and this can be said about a lot of things in this hotel: frankly some furniture choices are rather impractical. An in-room desk with no seating, desk lamp that doesn't swivel or rotate, one bed side table lamp between the two queen beds, offering two lightbulbs and no earthly way of preventing the globe from illuminating the sleeping occupant of the other bed, and lack of illumination in the entire room at night. It is rather dark and dingy in there. Fridge is...tiny, and unnecessarily so. There is room for a bigger fridge. Also, where is the in-room safe? Is this even normal for a 4* hotel? Hotel was clean, shower excellent, though water temperature control on both sink and shower is a little bit of a hassle: one easier solution would be to install thermostatic valves on showers to prevent burning and freezing. Service is very good but not the most polished. Hot tub in the pool, however, was not functional, and to have staff try to confirm that this was "normal" despite it obviously not being normal, followed by the regular pool staff admitting they were missing parts that were on order, left us disappointed. Sometimes, things are out of hand, just tell me you can't do anything about it rather than tell me it's working normally. I am capable of seeing things. On check-in we were offered housekeeping or $5 Starbucks vouchers per day instead. We chose the vouchers and were surprised to be provided with both housekeeping and vouchers. Thank you. However, housekeeping took away foot towels on day one and rearranged the towels every single day, so we couldn't tell which towel was used where. Disastrously, we had to use one of the body towels as a foot towel and that was folded back with the other towels on the rack. Please at least leave us with the foot towel. Thank you. Otherwise, this was a lovely trip that was very relaxing. We will be back. Read less

I kept waking up to have a look 😍 (Niagara Falls has been on my bucket list for years) we arrived in the evening and ordered room service which was delicious, the room came with access to the breakfast buffet but they credited us on our breakfast room service order. I would come back here in a heartbeat. Thank you for making my 50th birthday very special Read less

This Marriott was nice and a good location to see the falls. There is a Starbucks in the lobby which was nice. We didn’t spend the extra for a falls view. We could see it on our floor by the hotels so that was enough for us. I would definitely stay here again.
