Great location for the beach and the public transport. Such a wonderful team at the Rockley (new name for South Beach). Decor and amenities at the hotel are fabulous and trip was a very good value. We had a cruise and then stayed here which was so the right choice. Apartments were clean and spacious, the pool area is small but plenty of beds and if all are taken then the beach is only over the road and few tokens for beach beds were really appreciated. The breakfasts and lunches are yummy and the free wifi and free washing facilities are a great bonus. The bar area is great but also we had recommendations and help with booking local restaurants. Would definitely recommend and return when in the area again. Read less

We stayed at the South Beach Hotel, now renamed to The Rockley Hotel for one week. What a lovely hotel this is! We had a junior suite which was spacious and colourful in true Bajan style. We loved the bed - it was so comfortable! The walk in shower was huge! There was a kitchenette but we only used the fridge and the kettle. The room was cleaned every day and towels were changed every 3 days. Location wise, this hotel is perfectly situated, across the road from Rockley Beach and within walking distance of a range of shops and restaurants. Yes, the road is noisy but we didn't have any problems sleeping and you can't hear much at the beach, other than the waves! The pool was nice to sit at late afternoon with a couple of cocktails from the bar. Never had any problems finding somewhere to sit. Breakfast was lovely. There was a range of cereals, bread, cakes, fruit, yoghurts, cheese and cooked food, including egg, bacon, potatoes, beans and once there were pancakes. The catering staff were friendly and efficient, serving us tea, coffee and iced water. Juice was also available. Finally, we must mention the front desk staff who were wonderful. I loved that they gave us a tour of our room and showed us how everything worked. They gave us towels for the beach and a voucher for beds and a parasol every day. They were full of helpful tips for getting on local transport and going on trips. They were able to recommend the best places to eat and shop. Nothing was too much trouble. Aside from all that, they are lovely people and we enjoyed chatting to them every day. Special mention to Terina, Dedrea and Troy. We miss them already! If you're thinking of staying at the Rockley Hotel, don't hesitate! Just book it and look forward to a fantastic holiday! Read less

Now named The Rockley hotel. What a great week my family and friends had at this hotel. All the staff were so friendly and helpful and with a big shout out to Romario behind the bar for his great cocktails and laughs we had with him, it really made the week to have a great team working at this hotel. The whole hotel kept clean all the time and lovely design walls ,art work and hanging chairs finished off its great atmosphere. ( my wife bought one of the art pictures) Breakfast was simple but this just meant all of it was fresh and cooked to a great standard. My favourite being ordered poached eggs on toast every day was amazing. The pool looks small on the pictures but is perfect being long to give space for the kids at one end and people sunbathing at the other with out getting to crowded. Sunbeds and seating was easily found at any time of the day. Towels service was great just pop in basket and ask reception for new. Troy kept the kids entertained with games , activities and film nites etc. Even meet the team nite with free rum punch with was my favourite drink of the week. The rooms were great and a good size so not on top of each and cramped in other like some hotels, air conditioning was ice cold and easy to adjust if needed with separate controls in the bedroom. Room cleaned everyday to a high standard so a big thanks to the cleaning staff as well. If I was to recommend anything would be banks beer in bottles in stead of cans ( just my preference), bar to stay open to 11 as we would have had another drink when we got back most nights after 10 ( sorry bartenders if they make u stay later 😂) and may be iced glasses for the beer as love a beer in a ice glass. I know they are going through this hotel modernisation bit by bit at the moment so hopefully next time I come it’s even better. Overall a great hotel and a great team of staff, not too overcrowded and everything kept to a high standard, thanks for a great week after our cruise and hope to see you again soon☀️🏖️🍺 Read less

( towels supplied by the Hotel for pool or beach use as well as free sun beds on the beach the only thing you pay for are umbrellas ) The Hotel is clean and well maintained . From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome , all staff were outstanding , informative and ,friendly . Book the Island tour with Troy who is based at the hotel. It was great to be in his company and to get to know the other guests. Who incidentally all said they will be returning . A trip to see the race horses having their bath on Pebble Beach is a must , although an early start ( between 5-7am) it is definitely worth it a lovely lady sets up a tea and coffee stall on the beach so you can have a cuppa whilst watching this amazing sight. Also a visit to Oistins the fishing village should not be missed on a Friday Evening , it gets very busy , tables are laid out and you can sit and join in whilst they serve you fish cuts (sandwiches) rice chicken and peas and various other authentic meals. People are dancing it’s just a lovely place to see everyone chilling out and enjoying themselves. Read less
