Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels

Barbados, Caribbean

The hotel

There’s no denying Barbados’s Platinum West Coast is a magnet for beach lovers – so it’s rare to find a little sanctuary along its crowd-pulling sands that promises total serenity. Cue Treasure Beach by Elegant Hotels. Making its comeback in 2017, this boutique hotel reopened its doors to reveal an intimate adults-only concept and bespoke art, culinary, and cultural experiences, from the complimentary Chef’s Dinner (for guests staying five nights or more) to nightly Sundowner Hour and Treasure Art Crawls around the island’s galleries and museums. Of course this is the Caribbean, so they’ve added a Beach and Pool Ambassador Service for those lazy island days. You can also hop on the free water taxi to sister properties, with more than 15 restaurants and bars, or simply ‘stay in’ to enjoy Treasure Beach’s complimentary breakfasts and the gourmet gastronomy of The Tapestry.

.....Treasure Beach hotel , set in a lovely location, very pleasant staff, great accommodation and great food. We enjoyed our stay with the only tarnish being the fault of other holidaymakers playing the sunbed reserve game at 6am , albeit the hotel are looking at the issue. See you next time we are in Barbados!

We spent Christmas and New Year here along with our daughter. The location is superb and right on the lovely Paynes Beach. There is an intimate feel as there are only 30 or so rooms and you quickly get to know who's who which is not intrusive, just nice. The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful, we were looked after so well. Breakfast was lovely and happy hour 4 to 5 pm and complimentary cocktails at 5 pm made a perfect end to a day of lounging in the sun by the pool or on the beach. We were kept topped up with iced water all day by Carl as well as little treats of iced grapes, cold towels and ice cream arriving just at the right time. All of the staff we met were so kind and Lisa the manager was always in the background making sure all was well. Our suite was spacious enough for the 3 of us and linens and towels were of an excellent quality. So many lovely unexpected little touches during our stay too. We had lots of lunches and some dinners and the food is of a very high standard and priced competitively for the area, We particularly enjoyed the BBQ night on Wednesday and also the Tapas menu. We made use of the complimentary water sports next door at Tamarind which was a busy family all inclusive sister hotel. Here you can arrange speed boat trips, snorkelling equipment, and all sorts of fun activities. Can't wait to return Thank you all for a wonderful Christmas and New Year! Read less

Had a thoroughly wonderful holiday. Christmas Day and New Year were very well thought out. Very talented chef particularly with the presentation, some young men could have been a little more attentive

Saving grace was that is part of a group so we could move after one night, thanks to the very helpful hotel duty manager (Akeisha) and the excellent Keiren at BA holidays. No welcome when we arrived as we dragged our cases from the taxi to reception. One person on reception multi-tasking and frequently distracted during the check-in process. Absolutely no privacy in the drab (painted breeze block decor), tired room as it was within touching distance of the bar. That it was described as a garden room was poetic licence at its finest. The one night we had to stay, we had to sleep upside down in the bed because some genius thought it would be a good idea to site the air con unit above the pillows. To be fair Akeshia offered us a choice of rooms the next day but even their top level room was tired and the staircase leading up to it was dirty and scruffy. By quite some margin, the poorest hotel breakfast I have ever encountered. From what I can remember, mother's pride white bread, yoghurt, a choice of two pieces of fruit and oatmeal were included, anything else had to be purchased. Hard to believe this was recently refurbished. Read less
