Mount Cinnamon

Grenada, Caribbean

The hotel

This little hamlet of hideaways creeps up the lush hillside from Grand Anse Beach, one of Grenada’s most sought-after shores. Subtle and sophisticated, its 31 villas and suites are capped with terracotta roofs and dressed in soothing beach chic décor – but each has a pop of ‘seaside sunshine’ in homage to your Caribbean setting (if your sea view isn’t enough). The chic pool follows suit, with wooden furniture in vibrant colours, while the beach brings calm with its rattan love seats, beachside spa treatments and yoga, complimentary non-motorised water sports, and Beach Cabana restaurant, serving barbecue lunches steps from the turquoise waters. Many villas have their own kitchen, but most head to Savvy’s for dinner anyway, where produce from Mount Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club’s garden and nearby plantations confirm its status as a leading eco-lodge.

It was so good we have booked to go back again next year! We were made to feel at home from the traditional rum punch welcome and throughout our entire stay. All the staff know your name and go the extra mile in meeting your needs. The beach is great, the watersports excellent and the "catch of the day" in Savvy's beach cabana became a daily… Read more

I loved this hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly. Everything is very clean. The beach set up is a 10!! We went to the Friday night beach BBQ which was amazing! This hotel is in a great location near many restaurants and the main shopping center. You will love it.

While we loved the sailing it was great to get back into a place where the only thing you needed to worry about was to walk down to the beach and enjoy the day going by under a palm tree while enjoying good food and delicious drinks and then head up hill again for dinner at their hotel restaurant. We stayed in Villa 11 which had great views of the ocean and we really loved it but it is father high up on the hill so if you have difficulty walking I suggest looking for a lower down accommodation. We were very well received and felt pampered all through our stay. Just wish it was a few days longer... Read less

Arrived and welcomed with rum punch. Initial room offered was spacious and well equipped but lacked a clear view of sea; a word with Shauna (guest relations manager) and we were moved on day 2 to a spacious room with great view and balcony. Room (which could sleep four with a sofa bed) had two bathrooms and a fully fitted kitchen and was great for us as a couple. Plenty of mosquitoes, so use the repellent provided. No problem walking down to the beach, through delightful gardens, where all sorts of facilities available - Cabana Bar/Restaurant, loungers/umbrella, Hobie Cat sailing, scuba, various games etc. Played tennis on astro court. Main Savvys Restaurant offered a generous breakfast and good evening menu - at a price (we were B&B which worked well with other dining options nearby); our best evening meal was the Friday evening bonfire meal on their beach. We ate out some nights and used kitchen a couple of times. They are building a new hotel next door and, occasionally, there was some noise. (this is nothing to do with Mt C and should be complete in a few months). All day island tour arranged by hotel was excellent. Played golf on three days although first game in a torrential downpour was a bit miserable; course much better in sunshine but is nothing special. Most impressive aspect was the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff with special mention for Shauna and Kevin. It is in a great location. Read less

What a fantastic hotel a real gem in a perfect location. From start to finish couldn’t fault anything. The team so friendly nothing was too much trouble, the cinnamon suites were fantastic, the location right on the beach and the food was a credit to the team also great for the fish lover. Thank you Mount Cinnamon we will be back. Nicky and Shaun.
