The food was very good the pizza was the best . The buffet had great food although a smaller selection than most resorts. If you like a smaller resort this is definitely the smaller of any I have been to . It’s compact and easy to get around . Beds were very comfortable and house keeping staff wonderful. The coffee bar was awesome with lots of choices and wonderful staff . Nice little outdoor seating to enjoy a coffee . Cons The music is pumped out of a speaker from 10 am until evening onto the main pool and beach . It’s so loud it’s difficult to carry on a conversation. This also makes it difficult to relax and prob one of the most annoying things for us !!!!!! Turn it down to a normal level for listening pleasure! The lobby is very tiny not like the grand ones of larger resorts where all the evening activities take place . ( not the case here ) . You can sit and have a drink there . Probably 10 tables. In conclusion this is a sweet smaller resort it’s service is top shelf cannot day enough about the amazing staff! The beach is very small and sand gravel but lots of chairs . I’d definitely recommend for those who enjoy smaller resorts . And if I was to recommend a room I’d say ocean side the pool view was onto a very active pool and privacy was not a thing and it’s very busy until dark makes enjoying the patio to read etc difficult. My only recommendation is turning down the music to a level people can have a conversation. Took my husband for a long weekend for his birthday to Jewel Paradise Cove. Just three nights, but it was enough to relax and enjoy the weather. Runaway Bay is a 40 minute drive from Montego airport and isn’t much of a town to get out and walk around. You take excursions to places around the island, we did Dunn River Falls and ATV riding, which I recommend. The resort was clean, very friendly people. Food was good, not great, but still pretty good. Depends what you like to eat, I guess. There are two little beaches on either end of the property to swim or kayak, which we did. They had entertainment at night, though the dance club, Bling, is closed right now. There is also a huge slide from three stories up that winds through a building and out to the main pool, which was pretty cool. It was a mixed crowd of ages - very old, very young, and everywhere in between. But no kids, which was a selling point for us. Not a party resort, which was good. If you are looking to be able to walk around and see the local area I’d recommend Ochos Rios area, it was very cute. All in all, I’d recommend this place. Read less

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Excellent Jamaican hospitality!

Amazing Jamaican hospitality as usual. They always take care of any needs. Great food with good variety of vegetarian options. Clean facilities. Beautiful beach. Our 4th trip in January and it seems to be windy season so we have not yet been able to snorkel or paddle or do much in the water besides swim.
