I’ve already left a detailed review of our first visit (August 2016), and it just keeps getting better. We just spent another magical two weeks in paradise, and we encourage anyone on the fence to book now. Guest numbers are low (max 10 guests while we were there), you practically have the whole island to yourself, and the staff are AMAZING. I hate COVID but due to the pandemic you have a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience the island and staff at very low occupancy before the Xmas bookings kick in, so do it NOW. We were COVID tested multiple times before and during our visit, in addition to being vaccinated. Staff were actually busy getting vaccinated while we were there (and wore masks at all times). It’s very safe with the 2 day quarantine they have for vaccinated guests—I believe they require 5 days for the unvaccinated—and as of September they’re requiring all guests to be vaccinated - YAY! Seriously, do it, book now. You will never experience such a beautiful place with such personalized but unobtrusive service as you will now. As I said, the pandemic sucks, but if you’re willing to put in the travel time, you can take advantage of one of the few bright spots—the once in a lifetime opportunity to experience this place with your loved one as though you’re the only people there. Already planning our 5th trip, feel free to DM me with questions on excursions, fishing trips, etc. Read less

We really lucked out on our timing to stay at this resort and I highly recommend if you want to feel like a rockstar catered to on vacation book and stay before the end of September 2021! Even though there was a short 48 hour "quarantine" it did not at all feel like it! we had meals, for our short time quarantine on our lovely terrace overlooking the private beach where we could swim and snorkel and enjoy fresh mango daiquiris under our palm umbrella watching iguanas wonder by. The time was well appreciated after the bit of a journey to get to this beautiful tropical paradise! Being such an intimate island it felt as if we were transplanted to an entirely different planet far away from the chaos the world is in now! And i shed a few tears upon departure. Once we were out and about we enjoyed the two restaurants and the open air bar all overlooking the sea. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was 5 diamond and friendly. We were really impressed with cleanliness of the facilities and the extra efforts of the staff to truly make you feel as VIP special guests! Truly a tropical postcard picture vacation; beautiful white and pink sand beaches with gentle turquoise water and the comforts of civilization at hand. Truly a fantastic paradise. We will be back and i hope to stay longer the second time. Thank you to all the staff for being such special people to make this place even more of a dream! Read less

This was our 4th trip to Palm Island and it was fantastic. We were quarantined for 5 days which initially we were disappointed to find out but it turned out great, we had our room and private beach with full service from the bar and room service with the same excellent food they serve in the dining room. The staff went overboard to make our stay special and the whole island is set up for social distancing and Covid precautions so we were worry free. We decided to stay a second week to enjoy the island and amenities like it was our own private island because we were the only guests there out of quarantine. Everything was as good as you would expect from Palm Island only better because the individual attention we got was amazing. Travel to the resort was the easiest we’ve ever had, our flight from the states to Barbados had eight passengers and the return had only seventeen. Covid precautions are being taken very seriously in Barbados and there are no crowds or lines due to decreased passenger volumes. My advice: When Covid gives you lemons, make lemonade! Go now and take advantage of the reduced occupancy to make an amazing place even more amazing, but if you can’t go now it will always be a wonderful, peaceful, romantic place to stay. Read less
