AC Hotel Miami Beach

Miami, Florida

The hotel

Seconds from the sands of Miami Beach, this hotel’s stylish rooftop pool terrace has incredible ocean views. Many guestrooms do too, with floor-to-ceiling windows giving the full picture — if you’re not distracted by the Netflix that is. Inside and out, AC Hotel Miami Beach is worthy of its setting in this fashionable city, with sleek lines, contemporary materials, and calming colours. The dramatic padded leather walls of Gin & Collins are the backdrop for tapas-inspired dishes and decadent desserts — and cocktails mixed by bartenders who share local tips, like this season’s hottest hangouts. Breakfasts here are equally indulgent, with AC Kitchen’s artisanal selections promising more than the average start to the day. But if you’d rather hit the beach early, you can grab snacks at AC Market.

Booked this hotel for birthday trip due to price, balcony, and oceanview. Firstly, this side of town stank the entire time we were there, a smell of sewage. The hotel is across the street from the beach. Hotel lobby was overperfumed, however room stank which led to a stuffy nose all weekend. No closet, bench, or drawers in room. Had to take a lounge chair off the uninviting patio (which was L-shaped and could've been nice, but it wasn't) to sit our suitcases on because we didn't want them on the floor. The TV wasn't mounted which took up the little desk space we did have. Floor looked to be the peel and stick faux wood tile that was so scratched up, it made the floor look dirty. Bathroom floor and shower floor were PAINTED; unfortunately, the paint was peeling in places and looked terrible. No counter space for toiletries or makeup. Shower was nice. Since balcony was L-shaped, the 2 external walls were completely windows, except one side our view was an abandoned building. Staff was nice. Not a lot of food options nearby. Bathroom had sliding glass door which offered little privacy, but was aesthetically pleasing. Overall, i wouldn't return Read less

My fiancé and I went to Miami for our first vacation since being engaged. We mentioned this after booking our hotel and were met with champagne and snacks in our room upon check in. This was a special touch that was not expected, but greatly appreciated. Past this our room was nice, clean and had a great view. The overall experience was pleasant, and the staff was helpful. My fiancé enjoyed yoga on the beach as part of the destination fee. We did not use the beach services or bike rentals, but they were also available. The only drawback was that parking was expensive, but as advertised. Thanks again to the staff at the AC Hotel Miami Beach. Read less

I was so impressed by this hotel. Service, cleanliness, style and proximity to the beach are all excellent. It is 100 meters from the beach and boardwalk which you can walk on for miles. Starbucks is next door and a shirt Uber to the nightlife on Ocean Drive.

We experienced possibly the best customer service at this Marriot location. The front desk manager, Isa, was exceptionally helpful. We experienced possibly the best customer service at this Marriot location. The front desk manager, Isa, was exceptionally helpful. His service reminds me of old school concierge, where they anticipate your needs and send you in the right direction. The pool bartender was funny and never missed a beat. This is not your typical Miami Beach Hotel with all the bells and whistles, which in reality is all a big bunch go nonsense extras you never end of using. There is a rooftop pool, the location is near to all the good stuff, your stay comes with amenities like bikes, beach chairs, ect. The balcony room was perfect ( 3rd floor). A great location. Directly across the beach, the boardwalk and a great cuban cafe that serves breakfast and the best cuban coffee drinks. Skip Starbucks and order the cortadito ( mini cappuccino). Overall, it is worth it here. I do not make my hotel the centre of my attention, so all the bells and whistles of your typical Miami Beach hotel are not that important. Great location, near the free trolley, near the Miami Airport Express Bus ( 2.25!). But best of all, the customer service was second to none. I have stayed at the Fountain Blue and other Miami Beach standards and I have experienced mediocre hospitality at best. I loath Miami beach for this reason, but we were coming to see friends. We stayed here on points and I will return due to the exceptional service, by all. Read less

There is one draw that maybe could fit three t-shirts and there is an area to hang a few shirts. My wife and I were going to be down in Florida for over a week so we had a lot of clothes with us and had to live out of the suitcases. Very annoying. pool is very small..one other thing we had a Oceanfront room it was right on Collins Avenue it was a bit noisy.. overall not a bad stay. The only reason I will not stay there again due to the draw situation. Read less
