We were here for 2 weeks through virgin and were upgraded to a 5 bed villa instead of a 4. We had a view overlooking a small lake which was really nice and welcome as it meant we were not overlooked. So of the other homes we close together so the pool areas were almost back to back. Our villa was incredibly well equipped though to be really fussy it didnt have any baking trays it did have a pyrex though so we used that. We loved the plumbed fridge as much as the pool. Everything worked as it should do. If i wanted to be fussy a few of the tiles were cracked and the sofa leather looked shabby/old however it was immaculately clean which is the most important thing. The girls at the club house were lovely and very friendly. We chose not to use the water park on the complex it is a lot smaller than the pictures lead you to believe and it can be used by the public. Likewise; the gates are only locked about 10pm over night. There is also a lot of long term renters there; all pleasent enough but be aware if you are expecting only holiday makers. A few houses around us had parties/loud music but it didn't worry us as once the door was closed we couldn't hear it. We did have a small issue with our neighbour having a late pool party early hours of the morning however the resort were quick to forward our email to the relevant people. Not too sure what day bin day is as mostly the bins are always out. Also the events centre is used for parties too. There was one when we were there, though it didn't bother us as our villa was nearer the back of the complex and the events house is at the top there was 4 police cars managing it as we believe there was too many people in attendance. The drive is hwy27 jct 55 for about 8 miles East to I4. At times it took us an hour to get to the parks and back but the drive was OK we found some times were busier than others but that's no different to the UK. Food wise you can walk to the publix within about 10 minutes which has everything you need. And there's a store next door to boiuy inflatables for the pool. We would stay there again if we came back. The house we stayed in was spectacular! It was a four bedroom, 3 bath home and it was spic and span clean when we arrived. There was no water hookup to the refrigerator so we had to buy bottled water and ice (trust me you want to do that anyway as the local water tastes terrible). We didn't have enough blankets for the number of beds in the house and it took days of requesting them from housekeeping to get them. The HVAC System was down one day when we arrived home but maintenance came out immediately to make the repairs. They took out the HVAC filter as it was filthy and looked as though it hadn't been replaced in some time and it took them several days to replace it. The battery on the safe died and we couldn't access the safe but maintenance came out immediately to replace the battery. The pool lights weren't working and that was never resolved. The Balmoral Bar & Grill was short on staff and completely overwhelmed on most evening. The food was just okay and the service while friendly was very slow due to short staff. Try the Pina Colada at the bar & grill, it's delicious! All in all, a great place to stay and convenient to all major amusement parks in the area. Read less

We had a five bedded home on Balmoral and was dissatisfied with the way the house in general was equipped. It was a lovely home however kitchen equipment and towels etc were not as I have experienced in any other property I have stayed at around the Disney area. Some of our difficulties were remedied quickly. We would not stay again…

We were a returning party that stayed here in 2018, party of 11 stayed June/July 2022. Balmoral is such a beautiful resort and well looked after. On arrival at out villa everything was set out for us, towels for the pool, small kitchen pack to get us started. Although we obviously purchased more from our local Walmart for the duration of our stay. We were short of a few pool towels but once again a quick visit to reception the following day and they were supplied . The villa had everything we ALL needed , the only thing that I would change would be the sofa bed we had 2 of our guests stay on, the mattress had seen better days. But we bought a mattress topper for $30 and jobs a good un! It certainly didn’t effect our stay at all! We no issues with the resort or the villa , we will definitely return again one day. Thank you Balmoral team for once again an unforgettable and memorable stay in your beautiful resort. Read less

The only reason this in not a one star is because of the water park and bar and grille which was awesome for the kids and adults. First off, the pictures are deceiving. The pictures make this place look like a paradise with a super nice house to stay in. That’s not the case. We first arrived and we noticed slot of the houses looked run down a tad and did not have the nicest curb appeal. When we arrived at the house, it was ok but not a lot of parking if you have more than 2 vehicles. When we walked in we noticed the house was clean but lack of decor made it feel home away from home. We stayed in a 5 bedroom and 4.5 bath with 12 total people and the living room had 2 love seats with patched up work on them. Very uncomfortable. The dining table had room for 6 chairs. Overall just not a lot of space. The bedrooms were large which was great, but the beds were the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever been on. I ended up sleeping on an air mattress we bought because I could not lay on the beds. Was like concrete. They provide very little in the house. The pots and pans for cooking were terrible and they did not even provide a broom. The pool our back was ok but after smelling the chlorine when you walk out, we got test strips and the chlorine was through the roof and we could barely swim in it because the kids eyes started to burn within 10 mins. Our view was construction so that wasn’t ideal. We tried to make the most of it, but we will just never come back to this place. Luckily the kids loved the water park but other than that, we couldn’t wait to leave and get home. Definitely the worst place we have stayed. Be aware. Read less
