Disney's BoardWalk Inn

Walt Disney World, Orlando

The hotel

This magical waterfront property will take you back to 1930s America with its mix of buildings steeped in old-fashioned charm. It’s smack, bang in the middle of the lively BoardWalk with picturesque views of the harbour and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to explore. Kids will adore the swimming pool complex with its 61-metre water slide and white-sand beach, while adults can enjoy a leisurely swim in the quiet pool. It’s particularly fun to stay at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn as the whole area comes alive at night when duelling pianos get to work to the delight of the crowds, and everyone gets into the holiday mood. It’s dead easy to get to Epcot on the water taxi or by foot, and the restaurants of Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resorts are close by for dining variety.

We stayed in a standard view room facing the courtyard on the 4th floor. Short walk to elevator and stairway (you have to look a bit to find). The room appeared to have been completely refurbished; nearly everything appeared new. Very easy place to stay because so much is within a short walk. Made rope drop at Epcot (10 minutes) and Hollywood Studios (15 minutes) very simple. Positives: - Location is outstanding and everything is easy ... parking, parks, food, etc ... - Great layout. Double sinks separate from shower/toilet. - Flipdown bed allows for family of 5 - Coffee maker - Refrigerator - Safe - Walk to Epcot - Walk to Hollywood Studios - Walk to Skyliner Negatives: - Lobby bar remains closed Read less

I loved the Boardwalk resort. Beautiful grounds and building. Fancy pool and all kinds of places to take great photos. My room was beautiful and had comfy beds and a balcony that overlooked a garden. However, I had a screaming child next door and her constant cries of "NONONONONONO" throughout the day (starting at 7am) and lasting throughout the day and as late as 1:00am was a little much to put up with. I understand folks take kids to Disney, but damn, this kid screamed at the top of her lungs for almost a full hour from 12:25am until almost 1:30am and no one was shushing her. I finally yelled "dear god, these walls are not soundproof!" and all the sudden, we heard folks shushing her. FINALLY. Still, for $700+ per night to stay in this resort. I didn't want to deal with problems or problematic people. And that was only one issue. Secondly, I never had a room clean-up from housekeeping, and I really needed new towels (things just don't dry in that humidity) and could have had the trash emptied. My room was a mess, but the housekeeping cart was parked outside my door almost all day one day. Then, all of the bars we visited closed at 11pm, which is usually prime time in the bar scene. At 11:02 the lights all came on and thet were shooting us out the doors, with plastic cups for us to dump our drinks into. Beautiful resort and a nice lobby staff made a difference for this stay. This resort is beautiful and I especially loved the energy at night along the boardwalk along with a nice selection of shopping and dining. We stayed here for a quick one night surprise trip. My only issue that I think should be looked at is the breakfast service at the bakery. Was a long wait just to get a coffee and pastry, and staff didn’t really help people waiting in line with where to pick up a phone order. There were so many closed stalls along the boardwalk that would be perfect for offering a quick coffee and donut. We hope management takes a look at this as it was the only downside to an amazing stay. Excited to visit again soon! Read less

We stayed at the Boardwalk Villas for 3 nights in February 2021, the room was SPOTLESS !! The resort enforced all COVID policies- (mask wearing over nose and mouth), keeping pool chairs socially distant between groups, mobile check in. Cast members were even cleaning pool chairs between guests!!! I will absolutely return!

The BoardWalk has been on our shortlist for years. We finally got to try it out this trip, and it did not disappoint. The walking proximity to Epcot and HS, can't be beaten. We stayed on the DVC side and were very happy with the rooms. Like the Polynesian, they sleep five and have good size. I do wish they had the split bath like the Poly,… Read more

We stayed on the DVC side and were very happy with the rooms. Like the Polynesian, they sleep five and have good size. I do wish they had the split bath like the Poly, but these are a bit older. The service was great, the rooms were fantastic, and the location can't be beaten. We will stay here again. Read less
