The grounds are beautiful, loved the different colored buildings, we took the Skyliner several times and think this is an awesome addition to the park. We ate at Sebastians our first night there, and even with reservations, we waited almost a half hour but our waiter Alan made it fun and dinner was fabulous. The food court area was somewhat crowded and we weren’t too thrilled with that whole area. We visited the Riviera hotel and ate at Primo Piatto for breakfast and lunch on different days. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The actual hotel room was a bit small, but we only slept there and it was adequate and most importantly, clean. The Main pool was super fun for the grandkids, they loved the water slides. Everything was well maintained and we enjoyed our visit very much. Read less

This was our first visit to Disney and our travel advisor suggested using this mid priced hotel. So the good bits. It is clean and Jamaica was convenient for its bus stops and being near the Skyliner which gets you to some of the parks. Staff are very friendly and there is a shop and quick convenience food outlet with snacks and sandwiches. You can use your refill mug at some of the residential blocks. Nice pool as well. There is only a small window to your room, which means that the room is quite dark and the bathroom does have a window. I note that some of the rooms have been refurbished so I can't tell as ours was quite dark. Didn't quite get the hang od the air conditioning as it was either too cold or too warm. Overall a great hotel for its location and I would definitely recommend this one if you are staying on site and want to get about easily. Read less

We got to our room and it was musty, small and dated. Also not clean. We found hair on the bathroom floor. They claim this resort is renovated but they can’t possibly mean the actual rooms. We left the room to go to the front desk to see about switching resorts. The lady was rude and shocked that we wanted to leave. We spent 45 mins at least… Read more

We left the room to go to the front desk to see about switching resorts. The lady was rude and shocked that we wanted to leave. We spent 45 mins at least waiting for her to see if she could find something else for us. There was definitely availability elsewhere because I could see it on Disney’s website. She did eventually change our reservation but it took so much longer than it should have. At that point we were just glad to be leaving. Would never return. Read less

Our family spent 7 nights at Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR) in August 2019. We stay at CBR several years ago, and thought it was Ok, but since then the resort has gone through a significant renovation and it is amazing. The new lobby, check in and quick service restaurant are fantastic. The rooms have been refreshed with new furniture and decor. Our room was clean upon arrival and Mousekeeping did a great job during our stay. The beds were very comfortable, and the reno included new shower / bathroom fixtures. Our air conditioning was loud the first night, but we called the front desk the next AM and someone arrived within minutes to repair it. The food was great - lots of choices. The main pool is big and well themed, we enjoyed spending time there and the drink station is really close to the pool- easily access for refillable mugs. There are coke freestyle machines all over the resort, which was a nice bonus. Transportation was great from the resort to the parks, buses were on time according to the posted schedules. The Skyliner was in testing during our trip so we didn’t get to try it. What made our experience really special was the cast members (CM) at CBR. We’ve stayed at many other Disney reports and find that cast CM can really make a big difference when it comes to your stay- cast members at CBR were amazing, friendly and very helpful. We recently stayed at the Polynesian Resort and had the opposite experience with some CM (our check in experience was awful). Overall CBR is fantastic! We have already booked our next stay. Read less

We stayed with our two adult children, one of whom was home from Germany and wanted to visit Galaxy's Edge. It is a perfect location for Hollywood Studios and Epcot with the new Skyliner, which is much faster than Disney buses. During our visit, the buses were not going directly to those parks at all. The resort grounds are lovely with hammocks and beach chairs on sandy beaches created on the edge of a lake. The rooms were a reasonable size and were comfortable and clean with enough space to stow clothes, etc. We were in the Aruba section, which was an easy walk to Old Port Royale where the restaurants and shops are. The resort is large but easily walkable. Our only disappointment was getting food, especially later at night. The two evenings were were there, we found the market to be almost out of foods to pick up and they seemed to have a limited selection. We may have been spoiled by staying at some of the larger resorts with more restaurant options. As always, cast members were always helpful and pleasant. We were very sorry that we did not get the name of the cast member who helped us at check in. We had made the reservation by phone because I was having difficulty booking two rooms online. We were booking at a special Florida resident promotion, but the phone agent seemed to be having difficulty getting all the information right. Three of us are annual passholders, but she spent a lot of time getting everyone's name, age, and other data. The rate was to be $163 a night for each room, but she said the final cost would be $195. When I asked, she answered that the difference was "taxes". When we mentioned this as we were checking in, that cast member immediately said that something was not right and she would see if she could fix it. She spoke with a supervisor there, then apologized that it would take a few minutes. She went off and made some phone calls and when she returned she apologized again and credited us the difference to have the correct room rate. While this took her a lot of time and effort, she remained cheerful and pleasant and was clearly willing to go the extra mile to resolve a problem when she could have just brushed it off. I really regret that we did not get her name to send a compliment about her to Disney and her manager. She was also bothered that our rooms were not close together, and fixed that. We would stay here again and certainly think it looks like a good place for families with children. The pool area looked like a great time for kids. (There is also a very Caribbean feel bar by the pool for grown ups.) Read less
