Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Walt Disney World, Orlando

The hotel

Not only have Disney managed to bring the ambience of the Caribbean to Florida, they've brought the beaches too! This resort is split into five Caribbean islands, each with its own pool and stretch of white sandy beach. Colonial-style buildings and swaying palm trees add to the vibe, as do lush gardens and the distant sound of steel drums. There are bikes for hire, jogging trails, a lively shopping bazaar, food court and table-service dining - making this the perfect all-round family destination.
++ Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is undergoing refurbishment projects until further notice. Please refer to the additional information section below for more details. ++

Building work will be on-going until further notice.

The resort are keeping guest experience in mind when completing such work and are making every effort to ensure they maintain the magic of Disney. If you do have any other queries in the meantime, please feel free to call us on 0344 573 0088.

The only little thing I had an issue with was housekeeping, at the end of the day they still had not been to our room and finally someone called to see if we wanted someone to come out and someone finally did. We had to stop a random housekeeper during the day to ask for clean towel so we could shower and go on with our evening reservations. All of the staff at check in and in the lobby were terrific to deal with. Read less

Have just returned home after a week at this resort and can honestly say it was absolutely fantastic! After reading many reviews on the construction work going on I was very nervous before the trip but I really needn't have been. I saw no construction work at all around the resort. Yes the gondola stations are still being built but actually in and around the resort there was nothing but beautifulness! From the lobby to the pools and room it was all simply gorgeous. Checkin was smooth, picked up our magic bands and headed to the room which was clean and simply but beautifully decorated. Aircon, safe and fridge all worked perfectly . We ate in the market place a few times for breakfast and dinner and it was always good. They gave us free cupcakes numerous times. Staff were always smiling, friendly and helpful. The main pool here is great with 2 slides. My daughter did the mermaid school here which I highly recommend! The kids also loved toasting the marshmallows in the evening around the campfire. I found no issues with the buses at all and never waited more than 5/10 mins either going to or coming from a park. The shop on site had a good selection of souvenirs. Housekeeping was great everyday. Loved the little beach areas with hammocks dotted around the resort and the kids playground. I only wish we had been able to stay longer to spend more time relaxing around the resort. It really was so beautiful we will definitely be returning soon!! Read less

I always try to stay positive, so I will say the only positive thing I can. The room was very clean, other then that this “resort” is no better then a Holiday Inn. I’ll start with check in. After having to wait in line for a bit I was told my room wasn’t ready even though I was there at check in time. I was told I would get a text message when my room was ready, two hours later no text message. It took them almost two hours to get me into my room and I never even received a text message. Upon Getting into the room it was extremely hot and I was told by hotel stuff that I would have to keep the blinds drawn and that the TV would make the room very hot. Cons - *Extremely long walk to lobby for food and beverages *No beverages (including non-alcoholic) beverages allowed in the pool or within 5 feet. *Water pipes make a lot of noise * Room was located on the second floor but there is no elevator available so we had to luge all our luggage up the stairs Lastly a family we were traveling with had a major leak TWICE in their room and were forced to change rooms at 11:30 at night. I’ve stayed at other Disney properties in the past and know what to expect, but this resort was particularly bad. Read less

My family and I just stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort at the end of June leaving in early July. I was so disappointed with this stay at a Disney resort. The room was fine, clean, and the air conditioner worked but the stay was less than satisfactory. For such a large resort and with heat index reaching 110F we waited so long for buses. When I called the main desk after waiting nearly 30 minutes I was told a bus had just been to the Jamaica stop about 10 minutes prior and when I said that was impossible I was just told “Well one will be by within 20-25 minutes”. It’s a shame for all the hard earned money we spent on this trip I ended up spending even more just to take a Lyft/Uber to and from the parks almost every day. I also thought the resort was laid out so poorly. Everything was so inconveniently spaced out from the rooms. I’m by no means a lazy person but having to walk 8 minutes to the main lobby just to get a cup of coffee, grab and go, or snack is crazy! Lastly I was very disappointed in the staff. On one night at the pool in the Jamaica section a group came to party. Which I don’t care, your on vacation but the hotel guard stationed at the pool never said a word when the gate was repeatedly propped open and cigarettes were all being smoked by the pool. I would not recommend this resort to anyone and the only reason I gave it a 2 was because the room was clean and tidy each day. Read less

Everything was really close, so we didn’t have much of a walk to the main area and bus stops. I would definitely recommend paying the extra for a preferred room. Trinidad and Aruba area’s where a lot further away from the main areas so you would have a lot longer walk. Also I did notice that they were the last picks ups and drop offs on the buses. By the time they reached these areas the buses were already full. So sometimes people had to wait again for the next buses. Martinique area would also be a good area to stay as they were the first pick up and drop offs on the buses. The restaurant food was good, though it could be a little bit repetitive. Hotel grounds was immaculate and beautiful. We had a room with 2 king sized beds and they were really comfortable. I would definitely stay at this resort again and I would highly recommend. The skyline, once it’s open will be another fantastic perk to this resort. Thank you Disney for a magical holiday. Read less
