The closest hotel to the Magic Kingdom Park is the height of retro, '70s cool. The monorail enters the lobby through a 'curtain' of air to drop off and pick up. The stylish, gourmet 15th-floor California Grill restaurant offers incredible bird's-eye views over the Magic Kingdom Park. Meet your favourite characters in Chef Mickey's Restaurant, while tired parents can revive themselves in the cocktail lounge. There's a big swimming pool, tennis courts and even water-skiing on the lake.

Coasting on its proximity to action, I'm not impressed with this place considering what we're spending. Took a rude cold shower tonight and I'm trying to contact the front desk about it. I've called over 60 times and get nothing but a busy signal. It's like they got your money and you get what you get. Supply and demand... they don't really have…

The staff babysat a stuffed animal of my daughters while we were at the park... and when we arrived back at the hotel there were pictures of all the places Stitch went that day. On Mothers Day we weren't going to get back the room until midnight and there was a nice tray of desserts waiting for us in our suite! Its the little things... and there were so many of them! All the talks with my 7 year old... the fireworks... the advice.. the food... the wine... so many things! WE THANK YOU! We will be back!

We stayed there for 8 nights during spring break 2022. We had a lake view room at club level. The resort is an amazing one stop shop resort which is why we stayed there. I traveled with my husband, 10 year old, 4 year old, and 9 month old. I loved that we could do premium character dining, see amazing views of Magic Kingdom fireworks, eat a fancy dinner, have the kids run around the arcade, window shop with low crowds at their hotel stores, purchase tons of tasty treats normally found on Main Street, and get front of the park access in a short 10 minute walk with a private security screening area which hardly had any line the whole time we were there, ALL IN ONE RESORT! The rooms were spacious and we were comfortable in there, even with the pack-n-play in the middle of the room. It was also nice that at the end of the night we could skip going to the ticket and transportation station and just walk back to our hotel using a private path.
For club level: this was our first time staying club level, I never thought it was worth the cost before, until now. Wow! We all loved it! We were in the parks most of the time and still found it worth it. First of, you have AMAZING views of MK from club level, you feel like only a stone throw away. Second, you get treated like a VIP. Your room gets cleaned every day and you get nightly turn downs. You have unlimited access to espressos, which at Disney, coffee is a parents best friend. We don’t drink, but they also have unlimited champagne and wine and beer, if it’s not out you just have to ask. For the kids, they have unlimited PB&J crustables, packaged grapes, and apples, sodas, juices, milk, which are all great to throw in your bag for a day at the park and save some coins. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They say it’s only light things, but it definitely was sufficient to get you full. For dinner one night, they had salmon, and some sides, for the kids they had mini corn dogs and potato barrels. We were all happy. It was also nice to come back to the hotel after a long day at the parks to a wonderful line up of desserts. Also the concierge service was amazing. They were always sooo helpful and accommodating, even one day offering to walk my tray of food to my room door so I wouldn’t have to carry it. They can also adjust park reservations and book lightning lines if slots are available.
Overall we had amazing time! My husband and I were exhausted but having someone pamper us during our stay made up for it :)

After avoiding the Contemporary for a long time due to poor reviews and staying at many other places on property instead, I finally chose it as I was attending an event at its convention center and was very pleased. I stayed in the main building on the 7th floor and enjoyed every aspect. The room was fresh and modern with great touches reflecting its futuristic status. The bed was comfortable and I had a great view of the Magic Kingdom. The art around the hotel reflect Walt's views of an optimistic future and enhances the mood. The best part was walking outside my room and seeing the monorail come in to the Grand Canyon concourse. That is always an amazing sight but seeing it from above on a room hallway is a different perspective - that alone is a reason to go back. The service was very good although I did feel I had to push for my room to be ready at 3pm which is check in time and when I arrived (part of my planning). The only negative is that I could hear some stomping from above me early in the morning but it was not overly disturbing. An interesting thing happened on my final night when I went to buy a Mickey Mouse ice cream bar at the quick service restaurant - the cashier said "its on Mickey" and I got it for free! maybe the payment system was down but that was delightfully surprising.

We stayed at The Contemporary Resort at Disney World and the Fort Wilderness Lodge. The Contemporary was by far the best. It is within walking distance to the Magic Kingdom and has excellent travel options to the other parks. The housekeeping staff was exceptional. They went above what you expect in housekeeping. The rooms are nice and we had a great view of the fireworks. Management was always available to help out if you had any issues. The valet had a couple of problems but nothing to complain about. The bell station was great at getting us our luggage and loading up our luggage. Everyone was very friendly. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the Wilderness Lodge.

Your next holiday is only a click away - our website has thousands of options ready to book. But if you need more help, just give us a call on 0344 472 9646.
With many customers needing our help, we are prioritising those customers due to travel before 31 December 2020. Log in to Manage my booking where you can message us about your options or you can give us a call. Bear in mind you may have to wait longer than expected. We continue to review this and working to open up these options to more customers. In the meantime check out our FAQs to see if this can help answer any immediate questions.
Rest assured; we will notify you as soon as we know if your holiday has been affected by email.

Don’t worry if you’ve missed a payment or just need a little more time to pay; we have options available to help you. If your holiday is more than 6 months away, you may wish to set up a Direct Debit to spread the cost. This can be arranged whilst rebooking or afterwards in Manage my booking.

Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
I returned early from holiday and have further questions?
You can contact our team by emailing feedback.backhome@virginholidays.com to discuss options on unused portions of your holiday. If you need to contact our team about amending an existing holiday or requesting a refund please log in to manage my booking.
