Disney's Pop Century Resort

Walt Disney World, Orlando

The hotel

A fantastic family favourite, there is plenty to delight every member of the clan at this lively resort. The memorabilia, crazes and catchphrases that defined the 20th Century are everywhere you look - from jukeboxes, bowling pins and 8-track tapes to laptops, mobile phones and VCRs. The giant Rubik's Cube® is something to look out for, as well as huge models of Disney characters from the different eras. Baloo and Mowgli from The Jungle Book (in the 1960s section) are our favourites. Each building is a larger than life 'time capsule' of POP culture, featuring slogans encouraging you to 'boogie on down' or 'have a nice day' - not exactly hard to do! In the food hall, the kids can enjoy their favourite food, whilst mum and dad will appreciate a cocktail at the pool bar. When you're not exploring the theme parks using the complimentary Disney Transport, head to the 60s-themed Hippy Dippy feature pool and let the kids splash for hours in the pop-jet water fountain. To ensure you don't waste a minute of your holiday, bags can be dropped off at reception even before your accommodation is ready. They will be delivered to your room later, leaving you and the kids with nothing to do but start having fun straight away!

My husband and I visited to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversay. We were pleasantly surprised. We had not stayed at Pop Century since 2011 and were pleased with the renovation. We loved that hard wood floor and how open the space was. We did not feel crowded even though the room is on the smaller size. The bathroom was well planned out with plenty of counter space and outlets. The housekeeping staff did a exceptional job. Our room was clean and fresh everyday. We would stay here again in a minute. My family and I stayed at Disney’s POP during the beginning of the covid19 pandemic. We were traveling in for The Quest cheerleading competition. I must stay we were nervous about traveling but Disney made the trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel’s cleanliness was impecable. The staff were constantly wiping everything down to ensure it was very sanitary and clean. The rooms were very nice (one king size bed and a murphy bed). The rooms aren’t huge but comfy. We opted out of the cleaning service and received a $10 per night gift card which came in handy for food and souvenirs from the gift shop. The property itself is very nice and well maintained. My kids loved the pool themes and activities. The shuttle buses ran on schedule. The skyline to Epcot and Hollywood Studios were super cool and a major deciding factor for staying at this property. The plus to staying at POP is you can walk over to the Art of Animation and explore (it was amazing by the way!) The only thing about POP I wish were different, is the food court. Although it was good, they should consider changing the food choices on a daily basis to give the guest variety on food selection. You can always go to Disney Springs for dinner or order Uber eats or door dash. Overall our trip was excellent and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay here! Read less

You'll get lots of photo icons for some great shots, and the resort is convenient to the new Skyliner which are definitely pros. The downside is that this place is huge and even though we requested a room closer to the main center and the Skyliner to minimize our walking, we got put out into a room that was about as far away as you can get. … Read more

This will be my go to resort when visiting Disney again!! Read less

The skyliner at Pop was amazing! It made getting to Hollywood Studios and Epcot so easy and fast compared to the buses and the wait was never long. The bed in the room was quite firm and very comfortable. Read less
