Great place one of best Marriott's . Just want to point out while great location on Disney property there are a couple of things you don't get since this is not a Disney Hotel. Not eligible for the free Magical Transportation from the A/P. Second you have to pay for your "Magic Bands" which you don't staying at a Disney property. That said place… Read more

This was our first trip to Disney World for my mom and I. We booked through Costco and chose the Dolphin because it looked nice. We were blown away when we walked in the front doors. The hotel is so beautiful. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff. We arrived three hours before check-in, but were able to check in early, and had the opportunity to upgrade our room to one with a balcony and a view of Hollywood Studios (highly recommend). The room was great, the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed having tea on the balcony in the morning and evening. Honestly, we mostly just slept here after long days at the parks! We did visit the grotto pool twice, and it was really nice. Being able to deliver park purchases to the store downstairs was very convenient. There is a frozen yogurt place on the lobby level that sells Dole Whip for cheaper than the parks. They always had free pink lemonade in the lobby. The Dolphin is the last Disney bus stop before Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs. The walks to Epcot and Hollywood Studios were nice, and we would take the boats back if our feet were tired. You can also walk to the boardwalk, including Trattoria al Forno. There's a nice cafeteria-style restaurant in the lower level of the hotel, and we got taco bowls there twice for a quick meal. We're already planning another Disney trip in 2 years, and we'll stay at the Dolphin again without hesitating. Even if the hotel isn't Disney-owned, it has all the touches that make it feel Disney, including just exceptional customer service. Read less

Having stayed at several resorts for Disney as well as many business trips to 5 star resorts in the area I can say this one is non-descript, but that might be a good thing. If I was taking the kids to WDW, and wanted a quiet hotel away from the wild and crazy places like All-star, then this is a good hotel. WDW Bus service stops there. Walking distance to the Boardwalk, Epcot, boat service. There are fancy (Shula Steak House) restaurants and the 2 cafeteria like affordable places for kids on the first floor. Hotel rooms are plain, standard convention style. I would not want to stay a week with kids in that small room though, it's fine for a couple or business traveler. For business, be sure to ask for rooms closer to the convention center and adjoining business meeting rooms. I stayed in a far tower and it was ridiculous the amount of time spent walking to and from my room. Business meals were very good, snacks too. Hot and fresh. Read less

The only reason I did not give it a 5 is that we did not get into our room until after 5PM. We got there a little before 2PM so we missed out on a few hours we could have spent at pool or relaxing at the resort. Marriott is a well established hotel brand and based on reservations they should know by now how to manage the turnover - especially since it's a convention and Disney resort. I was disappointed.
