We visited Tamassa in Dec 2019 with our 5 yrs old daughter. I could say everything was just fabulous..the property, the room, the service, the location, the food..it just got a bit hot in afternoon but otherwise we dint have any complaints. We took all in one package which was in true sense all in one, we dint have to shell out a penny for anything. They had free kayaks, pedal boats, glass boats everyday. The drinks at the beach were inclusive too and at the pool bar too. The food options were great. They team at the main restaurant made every effort to ensure the guests eat well and enjoy the meals. Special mention for Chef Mahesh and Chef Harjeet for making us feel at home. At every meal time we were greeted so well and served food as though they have cooked it specially for us. They would go way out to make something special for my daughter. We are pure vegetarians and did not feel lack of options in any way. Special thanks to this team. They put super efforts. The only feedback I would have for Tamassa is that please have more organised activity for small kids with proper announcement made via a board at main restaurant or schedule sent to the rooms so that guests could plan their day accordingly. Since its a big resort, walking all the way to the play area to find out a schedule gets a bit challenging. All in all highly recommended property!!! Read less

The rooms were very clean and well maintained. (we loved the towel duck art with all the beautiful frangipanis) so big thank you to the Housekeeping teams. Quality food and variety of dishes add to a fine dining restaurants. Special thanks to Altaaf and Roshan who took great care of our family during dinner time and made our night fabulous. Loads of activities so no need to get bored. The boys at the bar were great and always with a smile. Our kids had a ball in the kids swimming pool and enjoyed the face/hand painting from the the kids corner. A big thank you for the amazing Reservationist Anousha who not only made our booking but gave us a tour around the hotel upon our arrival and familiarise us with all the hotel facilities. Anousha went over and beyond to help us to book the bottom-glass tour as we had a very short stay. A massive thank you to you Anousha. You really are a big asset for Tamassa. We will definitely come back for a longer story next time so we can enjoy the volley ball, tennis and all the activities. We highly recommend Tamassa Resort. Read less

Wow! I have never been to a holiday resort that from the instant you walk through the front door you are made to feel so welcome. Every single staff member is polite, friendly with the ability to speak in so many languages, simply outstanding. We went over the festive period being fortunate enough to see all the Christmas decorations and to be there for the celebrations for new year, from a foam pool party and disco followed by the next day with fireworks on the beach and beach disco. So much effort went into the celebrations and guests were offered fancy dress hats, feathers and glasses to get involved and the drinks flowed. A great atmosphere and the best way to start 2020! We used the Dive centre on site and took advantage of the free water-sport activities from the glass bottom boat, pedalaoes, canoes. We also went scuba diving (additional cost) but the snorkelling from the beach was just as brilliant. The current is strong though, so although you don't need to be a strong swimmer you need to be aware of where you going with the current and I would recommend beach shoes as the coral can be sharp. The sea was calm, warm and the water so very clear, when the sand caught the sunlight it looked like glitter - stunning. The beach is beautiful, soft powdery sand and no seaweed in sight. Stunning sunsets to watch too. Plenty of sunbeds and drinks service available. Only a short distance from the pool and accommodation meant all facilities were within easy, quick access. We tried out all the pools ... our favourite was the smaller round one, but only because it was convenient to our room. The heat from the sun meant that by mid morning the temperature in the pool was like a bath - absolute heaven. The pools were never overcrowded. A recommendation would be to have a children's pool, that is covered by shade and perhaps a pool with slides. The pools were surrounded by palm trees, lots of greenery and wildlife chattering away. At dusk you could see the bats going from tree to tree and at night (if wet) you could hear the bullfrogs! The rooms were unusually laid out. You walked in through the patio door directly into the bedroom. The air con in our room struggled to keep up with the heat somedays but by having a fan on the room it helped circulate the air. We had an extra bed in the room for our child (age 12). The beds were comfortable with a light duvet and sheet, comfortable pillows and changed regularly. The bathroom was large with shower and separate bath. The wardrobe hosted a dressing gown and flip flops to use whilst on site. A safe was present as well as a daily restocked fridge. The toiletries were lovely - bath/shower wash and hair shampoo. We were not overlooked and loved looking out at the greenery of the grounds and watching the world go by on the balcony. Good size towels to dry off with and the room cleaned at least twice a day! The resort was safe to walk around, there was opportunity to explore the Secret Garden, Garden of Wishes and play outdoor games. The food was not as I'd experienced at 'all inclusive' experience before - every night there was a theme and if there was something you didn't like the chef was only too happy to provide you with a meal of your choice. Breakfast consisted of a hot and cold menu. BUT my favourite was the daily Burger van - the best burgers ever, just wish it was open at lunch and in the evening! We took the opportunity to use Studio 17 for pool and table tennis (free of charge) and took part in locating the LUX glass bottle with a gift inside! I visited the spa (not for a treatment as personally I found these too expensive) to use the hot tub and pool - it was so peaceful there - truly relaxing. Unfortunately we had some rain during our stay but even then, we were accommodated with umbrellas and greeted with welcoming smiles. My Father In Law celebrated his birthday whilst there and we had a most memorable evening meal on the beach making amazing memories and throughout the day, his room was decorated with towel decor of a birthday cake. We did go out of the hotel for a day trip to the North of the island and hired a car. This meant we got to see a little bit more of this beautiful island and explore. Big shout out to the managers at Tamassa, they took the time to speak to guests every day and were always visible. The work very hard. Nothing was too much trouble and they took on board suggestions and ideas to make the resort even more comfortable. Thank you Giany, Nishad and Vinesh - you were a delight to talk to and learn more about. This holiday was truly a magical with amazing memories made. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff, we were treated like royalty everyday and they went the extra mile to ensure my son had the best time. I highly recommend you to stay here and relax. I hope to return one day. If I could rate this hotel more than 5* I would. Stay at Tamassa, you will not regret it! Thank you for the memories :) Read less
