The room was immaculate and kept clean to a high standard . All areas of the hotel were well maintained. Restaurants good variety of food and again nothing too much trouble . A la Carte restaurant delicious and plenty of choice .The burger van was great for lunch . Both bars provided a good service . We had to move hotels due to Coronavirus and the Lux hotel group handled it very efficiently by arranging taxis to take us to our new resort. We were sad our holiday was cut short but we will back once the world has recovered . Read less

Recently returned from another wonderful holiday although the weather was disappointing. The accommodation was comfortable and clean and Renu looked after us very well. ALL the staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly, nothing was ever too much trouble. There was always a good choice of food in both restaurants . Edhinho the baker makes the most amazing selection of fresh breads. My wife is a diabetic and Sandiren and Bickan ensured that we both had some amazing and imaginative sugar free desserts. Mahesh the head chef was wonderful and helpful as usual. This was our third visit and we would not hesitate to return. Thanks to all the staff for making another stay so enjoyable. Read less

We visited here 1st 2 weeks of March just as the chaos of covid-19 was hitting at home, this hotel was spot on with seriousness of it without panic or upset, at the time mauritius was virus free, every morning at breakfast everybody had the temp take in an unobtrusive way and with professionalism, there was extra hand sanitizer always to hand, enough said the staff were fantastic. Tamassa was on a very sandy beach we didn't use our beach shoes once, the water was warm and clear with plenty to see swimming around you. Food was really good we had lunch at the playa on the beach service was excellent and food very tasty nothing rushed just eat drink and chill with fantastic views of the ocean. Our evening meal in the show restaurant was also very good, themed nights and plenty of choice, well done to all the chiefs. Rooms were very clean done twice a day with plenty of fresh room and beach towels plus toiletries and loads of hot water. Staff were friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble you was their focus, as long as you was having a great time then all was well. We had some rain but that was due to our lack of homework but it didn't spoil our holiday one bit due to the paradise and chill factor of where we were, this hotel is wonderful and we would go back in a heartbeat. Tipping: On the front desk is a box for tips it covers the whole staff and not just front of house, it also saves carrying money around, one deposit at the end as you are checking out makes sure everyone gets a slice of your thanks. Thankyou to everyone for making our time so special we would highly recommend this hotel. Read less

It had been a year since our last holiday, our daughter visited the Island last year, and suggested we should put a trip on our wish list! We are so glad we followed her advice, and booked the Tamassa in view of recommendation by our travel agent and consistent good Trip Advisor reviews. Everything about the hotel is !ovely - beautiful beach and lagoon, the grounds are like a botanical garden and all of the staff are charming, friendly and welcoming. Special mention must be made of Chef Mahesh and all of the restaurant team. Mahesh always had time for a convivial chat,as did his compadre the Curry King! The food was all wonderful, especially the mango chutney, made to Mahesh's family recipe. We really enjoyed the cuisine, so much nicer than standard hotel fare. Lunch time burgers DELICIOUS especially the African. The special welcome in the restaurant on my wife's birthday was much appreciated. Definitely worth a five out of five. So glad we managed to visit before all the travel restrictions kicked in. Read less
