We visited Mauritius just before lock down and were probably the last few tourist to leave the country before flights were suspended. Our prime reason of staying at Westin was that it had an Indian Restaurant. I was travelling with my parents who have limited taste for food. Westin Turtle Bay is a lovely resort by all means and is perfect for families !! The huge Banyan tree in front of the reception is what welcomes you as you arrive to the resort. At check-in we were given cold towels and a nice cool drink which was refreshing.....but it was the process of check-in and formalities which take much longer than it usually does at a resort. After a long flight it was a bit irritating to go thru this long process. The rooms with sit-out and facing the large gardens was lovely. The rooms are large and spacious. The design is a good blend of modern and traditional styles which was really nice. The bathrooms were nice too. 100% marks for the rooms. Its the Indian restaurant which is the highlight of this resort. It requires an advance booking as its very popular with locals as well !! The food is exceptional and reasonably priced !! For Indian families travelling to Mauritius, a visit to this restaurant is a must. The pools are lovely at the resort and there is an adult only pool as well incase you want privacy. The main pool is large and beautiful with great view of the ocean. The kids play area one of the best that I have come across in many years and the staff there was really helpful and kept the kids busy. We had a half board plan and chose to eat at the buffet on two nights. The buffet changes every day and is themed on a certain cuisine. The variety is huge by all standards and was exceptional !! Overall....Westin is a great choice in Mauritius. I also liked the fact that it very close to Grand Baie area makes it even better !! Read less

The check-in was smooth and quick and at the same time it gaves us the opportunity to start relaxing after a long 12 hour flight. Refreshed hand towels and a cold tea was offered while we were doing the check-in. We stayed in a deluxe room just opposite the spa, with the pool just in front of us and it was very good to be so close to all the amenities. The breakfast had a variety of choices and tasteful. We a spectacular view of the ocean and feeling the morning breeze is a plus. The choice of restaurants is very good, but we kept going for the same, the Asian one, the mystique, beautifully set near the beach and amazing food. We didn't use the kids club so can't review on it. The beach is not the best but the pool and the lounges are very good. We weren't too fussed about it because we went outside everyday to know other beaches and as the hotel is on the north side of the island you won't be poor of choise. The activities are plenty and the offers are not dull, everything is placed to make you have a good time. Overall we really enjoyed the experience and the service at the hotel. Hope to be able to came back :) Read less

There is the main buffet restaurant and then you can book the a la carte restaurants once a week. Also as we were on honeymoon we got a romantic meal one evening. The rooms are large with large queen bed, bathroom with double sink, bath, shower and outside shower. There is a mini bar in the fridge that is restocked everyday. The hotel is vary spaced out which is great when round the pool as you have plenty space. Staff are all very attentive, brining drinks to your sunbed. Would highly recommend and would return if back in Mauritius. Read less

The hotel location is great, close to nightlife in Mauritius and has all island vibes & activities that you feel like you don’t need to get out, you have access to the infinity beach, two pools, water activities, etc. Staff are super welcoming and friendly, even helped us get local numbers, affordable taxi rides, and recommendation on where to go around. I got upgraded to a suite, which was very spacious with a nice outdoor seating, and the best part was the spacious bathroom! Small tip for when you’re in Mauritius: rent a car! Read less
