My family and I spent seven nights at this resort. The rooms were spacious and clean and the two pools were very nice with plenty of lounge seating and umbrellas. We especially enjoyed the service from the Kid's Club staff who provided our five year old son with lots of activities. The specialty restaurants served high quality meals in attractive surroundings. Unfortunately we had issues with service during our stay. The buffet restaurant constantly seemed understaffed which meant we were sometimes waiting over ten minutes to receive our drinks. This also goes for some of the pool wait staff. As beautiful as the resort is I was starting to lose my patience the last couple of days of our vacation. The best parts of this resort are the spa, Kid's Club and the specialty restaurants. The grounds are beautiful and the pools were very spacious and the perfect temperature. Read less

Well stocked mini bar in the rooms, good range of interesting choices at the main buffet restaurant and on the lunchtime menus at beach grill & Mystique. However do try the a la carte restaurants, Kangan serves delicious indian food & was my personal favourite but Fusion serving mauritiun was also fantastic. One question for Westin Turtle Bay - who trains your team?! With such a large team I was amazed at the consistently high level of attentiveness, customer care & pride displayed from every member of your team. Well done! Read less

Westin Mauritius review We spent 13 nights here in January 2020 and overall we loved it. Whilst there were a few issues, as they tended to be staff issues, they are all easily remedied. We took a Beachfront room and we were delighted with it. Spacious, well appointed and clean. The Heavenly bed was just that and the quality of linen and towels was excellent. The view from our room was lovely and we often spent time on the balcony enjoying it. As we were All-Inclusive the well stocked mini bar was free to use. We used the buffet for dinner at the start of our holiday and if you didn’t want curry, it was often challenging to find something we wanted. I understand this is a personal thing but it would have been nice to have a greater choice. Breakfast was our least favourite mealtime and if it wasn’t for the egg station, I would have been at a loss to find anything. Bacon and pork sausages were poor quality, as were the other sausages on offer. We chose to use the a la carte restaurants whenever we could after the first few days and what a difference. The food was excellent, well presented and tasty. Kangan, Fusion and Mystique all had great choices and the a la carte choices were adequate. We ate at Kangan most times and always enjoyed good food and service. We recommend lunch at the Beach Grill, the tempura prawns and chicken skewers are gorgeous. The all inclusive drinks were good quality but several of the items on the bar list were never available at any bar which was a bit disappointing. The main pool was really nice, and although it was a family pool we still had a peaceful time. We never had any problem getting loungers in fact it was normally very quiet at 0900. However, we found the pool attendants on most days more interested in their mobile phones than serving guests which was a bit irritating. Even when we got service, often the time taken to bring a drink from a quiet bar was ridiculous (15-20 minutes) on occasion. We used the whisper (adults only) pool once but we found it too shaded for our liking. In the Retreat bar it was normally very quiet but even then service was poor with slow service and often wrong orders and wrong checks to sign. However, when Kavina was on duty her service was timely, correct and courteously delivered, so thank you Kavina for that. There is a dress code in the evening when men were asked to wear long trousers when dining however this was never enforced and men regularly wore beach shorts and flip flops without challenge. So why have a dress code when you don’t enforce it? We don’t normally mention staff names when reviewing but on this occasion we feel it right to mention the excellent friendly service from Cedric in Mystique, Kevin in the Beach Grill, Ashna at restaurant reservations, Renoo in Mystique, the lovely Soonita in the Buffet restaurant and our best mate Mehfooza in Mystique. Thank you each and every one of you guys, you made the holiday special. Read less

We’ve spent a week at the Westin Turtle Bay and opted for the all inclusive package Junior suite. In all areas our experience can only be rated as 10 out of 10. Arrival - we were met by a team of staff who made us feel like royalty. From cold hand towels to luggage guy/porter, everyone greeted us with a smile. We were escorted to the magnificent retreat bar and whilst all paperwork was finalised we were brought cool ginger tea to refresh us. We relaxed on a beautifully furnished bar/ entertainment area with stunning views. Junior suite- beautiful decor. Huge space and massive bathroom which was wonderfully stocked. Restaurants- there was 5 restaurants to choose from. All different to each other but beautifully decorated and comfortable with amazing views. Pool areas were continually looked after, cleaned with ample space with white towels. Both pool areas were well designed and equipped. We could not find one single reason to complain. Wonderful experience but by far the best has to go to the amazing staff at this hotel. From pool boys to waiters/waitresses and reception staff to ground staff. All offered an incredible service. All genuinely lovely people who seemed so sincere in offering such great service and always with a smile. We were so impressed. Consequently our holiday here was wonderful in every sense. Read less
