A beautiful island country with legacy of India but hospitality no where closer Pros & Cons 1. Reception P - Beautiful property, Awesome Location. Warm welcome on Day 1. C - Quite disrespectful staff, asked for a glass of water while sitting with Henna for some query but denied. 2. Kangan Resturant P - Delicious food and Perfect@Indian Taste buds. Have multiple cuisine offered between 5 different restaurants. C - Dinner inclusion in my pkg. They serve Ala cart food@Kangan but will limit quantity based on no.of people when you place order. Also for any sea food items, they ask for additional charges. Even soft beverages not included You need to pre-book restaurants as usually busy at prime times. 3. Family and Adult pool separate. Both pools clean and good P - Multi customer oriented. C - Choose of food at family pool limited to just a sandwich and a pizza. You need to access resturant for eating that's OK. 4. Facilities - P - All facilities as in a 5star hotel available like Spa, entertainment - sports, water activities, etc. Kids club - Enjoyable. Staff like Karuna very nice and supportive C - Not very welcoming when it comes to using facilities. Asked for carrom but refused saying they are showing a match so kept inside. Asked to use PlayStation at 7.30pm but denied saying, only till 7pm. Best funny part is two staff members played PlayStation till 7.30pm themselves. Sports Activities - No Pro. C - This is when it is all included. Asked for speed boat but they asked for a charge of 6000MUR for an hour. Asked for snorkeling/kit - they said only if you have done in deep water earlier, straight answer - We dont guide or teach. When we said OK, can we try at beach side first then said try it canceled as high waves. People from nearby hotel - Maritime, doing at beach side Summary - Hotel staff shows being welcoming however refuse for anything and everything. Forget, Getting pampered or serviced. For sure, inclined towards western crowd. My bad that I chose over Intercontinental and Ravenala. Still 3days left, will complete my feedback Read less

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at this first class hotel. Where to begin as all except the weather was superb however, what really makes this lovely hotel stand out are the staff and food. We stayed with an all inclusive and wow the food was incredible. Where to begin - Breakfast in the main restaurant with outstanding service from Nitesh and his staff and so much choice. Lunch at the Beach Grill on the beach is where we had lunch daily - served by the lovely Steeven and Avi. We had most days the freshest and tastiest salads, seafood skewers, panni’s, tuna carpaccio. Then a choice of 3 A la Carte restaurant Fusion, Mystique and Kanghan again staff incredibly attentive, special mention for waiters Cedric and Hans and food choice was outstanding - see photos We had a birthday and treated to a special unique breakfast on an exclusive jetty and looked after by Kevin and Mefoozah, organised by Ashana - thank you. In case you think it was all about the food we absolutely used all the inclusive facilities on offer from great bike ride lead by Samuel and used all the Watersports including, trial dive, kayaking, snorkelling and sailing and not forgetting Yoga as the sunsets from Parveen. Thank you all for making our stay memorable. Read less

We were disappointed by our stay here. Don't get me wrong the hotel facilities themselves are beautiful. Rooms are big. Bed was extremely comfortable with a large bathroom;freestanding tub & outdoor shower. Two beautiful pools with ample sunbeds. The disappointing bits... This is a quiet hotel. There is very little in the way of nightlife. It lacked atmosphere, some singers/musicians in the evening but entertainment was poor at best. The staff seemed stressed & harassed. On several occasions we saw staff bickering with each other. Even more senior managers chiding servers in the restaurants. Does not create a good impression for guests. Bad vibes. Service was poor. Most days we were not left any towels in our room after cleaning. Tea/coffee would be forgotten about when ordered at breakfast. Poolside drink/food service is advertised but in reality doesn't happen. Sloppy service. We prepaid a lot extra for all inclusive (€100 each per day). We were on our honeymoon & the last thing we wanted to worry about was our spending. Unfortunately menus were limited on the all inclusive. A lot of the foods we'd like to order at mealtimes were not included. The same for drinks. There were some watered down cocktails but anything decent was not included. Also the wine on the all-inclusive was plonk! Paying the all inclusive supplement seemed like an expensive scam. Reservations in the restaurants can be difficult to get. We waited until 9pm one night for a reservation in Kangan restaurant only to arrive to find empty buffet dishes. There is one fully buffeted restaurant in the resort, I would have expected al a carte dining if making reservations in a 5 star hotel. Below par. The beach that surrounds the resort is rocky & not suitable for swimming. It's nearly impossible to get into the water. It's not the clear blue beach that I expected. To sum up,there's probably much nicer resorts in Mauritius. We were so disappointed with the service & quality considering what we spent to stay there. We had just come from South Africa where we were spoiled by the luxury treatment we received. Maybe that was the problem. I've stayed at much nicer 3 & 4 star resorts in Spain & Portugal for much better value. In my opinion the Westin Turtle Bay is not worth the expense. Read less

Visited Westin beginning of May 2019 for dinner. What a wonderful dinner we had at Seasonal Taste, the food and the ambiance were fabulous. Special thank you to Nitish and Vikash for providing an excellent service and kept ensuring that we were enjoying. Highly recommend this hotel. Keep the good job on, well done!

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Westin Turtle Bay , which is an excellent resort with extremely polite and helpful staff, who cannot do enough for you . Our room was a beach facing superior room which we would highly recommend, as has excellent sea views with sunset and sunrise. Rooms are maintained to a high standard with luxurious bathroom with separate shower, bath and sinks as well as WC. You can never go hungry with a sumptuous array of food in Buffet restaurant and a choice of 3 restaurants which need to be booked in advance Kangan the Indian restaurant was excellent ,with meals prepared to a high standard by chef Prashant Tiwari and very popular, as was Mystique As a vegetarian, there was a lot of choice, except in Fusion which had no vegetarian options and which the chef and management need to look into, to cater to all tastes The managers were always active and eager to help A special thank you to Ashwin ,Khusboo,Azagen, Deven, Nitesh and Jameel who were always eager to help and sort out any problems Our housekeeping lady Pratima ensured our room was cleaned in time ready for our afternoon nap and there were other staff whose names I cannot remember who also made our stay special. Hopefully would return one day but have recommended the resort to all friends Read less
