Four Seasons Resort, Seychelles

Seychelles, Indian Ocean

The hotel

Comprising of tree-house villas, each with their own private infinity pool, perched on a jungled hillside, the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles offers a tantalising glimpse into paradise. The powder-sand beach, considered to be one of the finest on the island, is just a short stroll away, scented en-route by cinnamon trees and frangipani. As well as indulging in water sports, there’s a lovely swimming pool to relax by with poolside dining and refreshments readily available. The spa is a treat for all, located at the top of the hill, overlooking spectacular Petite Anse, with both adults and children welcome. Utilising entirely natural ingredients, signature rituals include chakra rebalancing and jet-lag recovery (adults only), as well as a Fancy Fingers Manicure or a Sleepy-time massage for youngsters, the latter a wise investment as everyone enjoys a peaceful night! As dusk falls, head to Zez Lounge for a pre-dinner cocktail or two. Afterwards, opt for pan-Asian cuisine at Zez Restaurant, set on the hillside and perfect for making the most of those sunsets, or Kannel, set right beside the ocean and serving sumptuous seafood, Creole and Asian cuisine.

Many hotels claim to be a "luxury" property but less hotels achieve that lofty goal. The Four Seasons did that and more. The service was impeccable. Four Seasons built its reputation on personal and attentive customer interactions and it has stayed true to that brand. We were greeted with warmth and kindness throughout our stay. Food was excellent and fairly diverse so you didn't get tired of the same selections. Some nights had entertainment, which was pleasant. The beach on the property was absolutely stunning, smooth and easy to swim. It was an excellent experience. My only complaint is that there should be no reason to nickel and dime guests at that level of luxury. Wi-fi was unreasonably slow, unless you pay for extra data. We were charged wayyy too much money for a driver to drop us off at the beach then pick us up later (not like he waited around to take us to multiple places). It would have been easier to just call a taxi). It seemed a bit petty. But overall, our stay was memorable and lovely in every way. Well-done! Read less

Just came back from a 5 night stay at this property and was extremely impressed with the attention to detail from all areas: -- Concierge helped us book some activities and had a very clear itinerary printed out for us upon arrival with alternative options listed for our choosing -- Hilltop Ocean View Villa was breathtaking and very well kept. All appliances and fixtures were clean and in good order. Having this room is worth the extra bucks. -- Housekeeping came 2 times a day and were very thorough -- All workers (drivers, restaurants, bars) knew our names and kept track of our habits so they could provide customized service and repeat orders like drinks -- Restaurants were all delicious and there was zero need to leave the resort if you wanted to stay put -- Spa service was professional and extremely talented -- Gym was clean and had all the equipment needed to get a quick workout between breakfast and the beach I would 1000% recommend this place and would love to come back anytime. Arrived here to continue my birthday celebration after being spoiled for 6 days on Desrouches and the pampering continued. Hotel arranged airport transport and 35mins later I was checking in. Check in was smooth and quick. I was greeted with cool cloth and hibiscus tea. Don’t know that I can add much about this property that hasn’t already been said in previous reviews. The Petit Anse beach is pristine. Powdery white soft sand stretching into varying colors of turquoise blue water. It reminds me a lot of Bora Bora. The water was calm in the mornings with increasing waves in the afternoons. A lot of guests enjoyed snorkeling and other water sports. Adjacent to the breach is a large pool, but I didn’t use it much preferring the ocean instead. I had a garden view Villa which is is quite large and I could still hear the ocean from the balcony. There is an indoor and outdoor shower and large soaking tub overlooking the hillside. There is also a plunge pool that can be accessed from the lanai off the bedroom or from the bathroom. You can have the hotel draw a specialty bath for you or bring your own bath salts. Definitely use the buggies to get around as the paths are quite steep and the resort quite large on this hillside. I ordered from Room service the first night as I was exhausted: prawns, steamed vegetables and sorbet were quite delicious. Breakfast daily was included in my rate and had a nice combination of hot, cold buffet items and made to order options. I didn’t do half or full board this hotel as I wanted to try options off property. I did eat at the sushi bar and zez, both very good quality. Rahul the sushi chef can create just about anything you ask even if off menu. The spa was Ah-mazing. Its the highest point of the resort with beautiful land and sea views. You can go up in the evenings to enjoy champagne cocktail even if not having a treatment. I did enjoy a massage in one of the massage villas as an added birthday treat. The resort also arranged a day tour for me i to the city. It was reasonably priced for a Private tour. I was able to see a lot of the major sites. Overall another excellent stay at one of my favorite brands. Highly recommend for service, accommodations and that gorgeous beach. You won’t go wrong here. Read less
