Tivoli Lodge

Vail, Colorado

The hotel

Combining modern architecture with the feel of a mountain lodge, the Tivoli is a firm favourite with skiers. Warm in atmosphere with great service from attentive staff, it also enjoys unobstructed views of the Vail’s Golden Peak ski area. Guest rooms are spacious and impeccably-appointed with the finest linens and large soaking tubs – much appreciated after a busy day on the mountain! There are also two hot tubs to stake your place in, both with mountain views, the perfect way to relax and unwind. Breakfast is a delight at the Tivoli, complete with an omelette station and house specialities such as French toast and buttermilk biscuits. Come sundown, there’s the Brown Hound Lounge with overstuffed chairs, leather sofas and towering views of the mountain. A wonderful place for a spot of après-ski, try a signature Indini cocktail, inspired by former mascot Indy, the chocolate Labrador for whom the name is lounged – yep, you guessed it, it has a chocolate theme!

This is a quaint local lodge that we enjoyed very much. Some of the decor is a little dated but overall everyone was very nice the room was quiet and had a nice view of the mountain. We would definitely return.

We have been staying at the lovely, elegant, perfectly located Tivoli Lodge once a year for about the last four years. It continues to impress with its beautiful design in its public spaces, guest rooms and landscape. Staff continue to exhibit friendly, personable and customer satisfaction oriented engagements with its guests. In fact, while many establishments "refer" to their customers as "guests", the Tivoli Lodge actually treats them as guests, as befits a family-owned and operated lodge. It remains our go-to location when we are in Vail, or the Vail area. Read less
