Tivoli Lodge

Vail, Colorado

The hotel

Combining modern architecture with the feel of a mountain lodge, the Tivoli is a firm favourite with skiers. Warm in atmosphere with great service from attentive staff, it also enjoys unobstructed views of the Vail’s Golden Peak ski area. Guest rooms are spacious and impeccably-appointed with the finest linens and large soaking tubs – much appreciated after a busy day on the mountain! There are also two hot tubs to stake your place in, both with mountain views, the perfect way to relax and unwind. Breakfast is a delight at the Tivoli, complete with an omelette station and house specialities such as French toast and buttermilk biscuits. Come sundown, there’s the Brown Hound Lounge with overstuffed chairs, leather sofas and towering views of the mountain. A wonderful place for a spot of après-ski, try a signature Indini cocktail, inspired by former mascot Indy, the chocolate Labrador for whom the name is lounged – yep, you guessed it, it has a chocolate theme!

We are shocked and horrified! We have reservations for Tivoli this coming weekend. My husband tested positive for COVID Monday. We got in touch with the lodge that day and were told we needed to email the manager directly. Assuming there would be no problem with canceling, as we could provide positive COVID test results, we really had no concerns... other than treating the virus. My husband just got off the phone with Dalton, who informed him that we are still responsible for 20% of fees. I think most people would choose to still come and enjoy a vacation, especially as my husband is having very mild symptoms. I'm truly infuriated that we are out $400. for being considerate and responsible! We are Boulder residents and frequent visitors to Vail. This was our first AND LAST time to try Tivoli. So disappointing. Read less

We had a great stay at the Tivoli, the staff was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to work with. The lobby is cozy with a great fireplace, nice bar, and they are navigating the Covid restrictions very well. Our rooms were perfect; clean, updated, quiet and just want we needed after long ski days. The location is a fantastic hotel choice for four reasons ( in my opinion) 1) a very short walk to Riva Bahn lift offering quick access to Northwoods Express Lift to the top. Which can get you over the backside for first crack at powder runs if it snows. 2) Short Walk to Gondola One, doable with ski boots on. 3) ski in - At the end of the day you can ski past the Golden Peak Gopher Lift right to the street behind the hotel. I would consider it a ski in hotel which is awesome when you are spent at the end of a long day. 4) Easy short walk to Vail village shops and restaurants. We walked to all of our dining. Preorder breakfast at night (door tag menu) and it’s ready in the lobby in the morning. It was good. Complimentary Coffee and Hot Chocolate available in the mornings and again in the evenings along with fresh baked cookies. Ski locker is convenient and the attendant is helpful, especially at the end of the day when he helps with gear and delivers your shoes so you don’t have to get up to get them. It’s a little thing but it’s meaningful when your legs are shot. Based on our experience we wouldn’t consider anywhere else, the comfortable cozy feel of the lodge, fantastic staff and location make it hard to beat! Thanks Tivoli Staff! Read less

The location is fantastic and is the largest redeeming quality. As for the rest of our stay the customer service was pretty poor overall, and eventually it weighed on the experience. Want to give them benefit of the doubt that maybe this is COVID related but last I checked the cdc has not outlawed customer service.

Great hotel at Vail Village! Excellent customer service, starting with the valet parking, the front desk, the person at the bar, they are all super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm, the view was amazing. I totally recommend this hotel. I’m looking forward to comeback next year to Vail and stay in this hotel.

I was a bit worried that the ski in/out would be difficult but the location was great. The Staff was extremely friendly and prompt. While the hot tub was small it was definitely enough to enjoy! I highly recommend!
