Tivoli Lodge

Vail, Colorado

The hotel

Combining modern architecture with the feel of a mountain lodge, the Tivoli is a firm favourite with skiers. Warm in atmosphere with great service from attentive staff, it also enjoys unobstructed views of the Vail’s Golden Peak ski area. Guest rooms are spacious and impeccably-appointed with the finest linens and large soaking tubs – much appreciated after a busy day on the mountain! There are also two hot tubs to stake your place in, both with mountain views, the perfect way to relax and unwind. Breakfast is a delight at the Tivoli, complete with an omelette station and house specialities such as French toast and buttermilk biscuits. Come sundown, there’s the Brown Hound Lounge with overstuffed chairs, leather sofas and towering views of the mountain. A wonderful place for a spot of après-ski, try a signature Indini cocktail, inspired by former mascot Indy, the chocolate Labrador for whom the name is lounged – yep, you guessed it, it has a chocolate theme!

My husband and I visited Vail for the first time October 4-6, 2019. We happened to come across Tivoli Lodge while looking for places to stay and liked the look of their lodge, pricing and overall feel - and we were NOT disappointed! We wanted something that had a "rustic, inviting, warm and cozy feel" (as opposed to a corporate-type hotel), while still providing high-quality hospitality and amenities. Tivoli checked all of those boxes! Beautiful lodge; clean rooms and bathrooms; fun bar; cool outdoor hot tub and an amazing location right in the heart of Vail Village! Having never been to the Vail area before, the staff was extremely knowledgable, friendly and personable and offered advice on "things to do", restaurants to eat at, shops to visit, etc. The hotel even offers complimentary "cruiser" bikes, which my husband and I took advantage of during our stay and I highly recommend doing the same during the warmer months. My husband and I would definitely stay at the Tivoli Lodge again. Highly recommend this place for your next Vail get-away! Read less

Our room had a gorgeous Mountain View, working fire place, balcony, and a small kitchen area - perfect for a snack or cocktail. Our room had heavy, wooden finishes - solid doors and furnishings and the bathroom was a dream - a soaking tub, a 3 jet shower and plenty of room to move around. From the moment we stepped in the door to the moment we received our vehicle back (completely scraped of snow!), every moment is one we will remember for a long time. Read less

This hotel is in an excellent location, near many restaurants, shopping, as well as access for skiing. It is well run with excellent, friendly, helpful staff. The room we stayed in was clean, beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. We would stay here again any time we're in Vail!
