Boston Park Plaza

Boston, USA

The hotel

As synonymous with Boston as the eponymous tea party and cream pie, Boston Park Plaza has been a landmark on the city’s hotel circuit since it opened 90 years ago. Reinterpreted for the 21st century traveller with a $100 million mega-makeover, it now adds contemporary décor and mod-cons to its timeless elegance. And you’re in good company, with all bar two US Presidents staying here since it opened. It’s easy to see why, with a top-drawer location near Boston Common. Of course, they wouldn’t all have experienced today’s attractions, which include a mammoth 20,000 SF Health Club, the nightly cocktail hour (well 5 hours) in the Library, and the New England inspired dining of its Off the Common restaurant, with Boston’s signature lobster rolls a menu favourite.

Overall the Boston Park Plaza was a lovely hotel. The room was comfortable and quiet, the staff was friendly, and it's nicely situated in a quiet, upscale neighborhood just a short walk from all the downtown Boston attractions. The only thing that irked me was the $25 a day resort fee on top of the already pricey room and hotel fees. Now, they are upfront about this charge, so I'm not saying I wasn't aware of it, but I fail to see what it's for? A fitness center I did not use, and WIFI? Seems like that could easily be covered within the cost of the room. Beyond that, it was a pleasant stay and a very nice hotel. Read less

I would like to commend the employee Jonnie Li. I arrived with my elderly parents and our cat at 1am after driving for 5 hours, exhausted. As the bellboy was busy, JL immediately assisted us and brought my items to the room. Thank you!

We loved the cleanliness and modern updated look of the hotel. It was the perfect choice for an overnight stay in Boston. Great location and great service. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast before heading out for the day!!

Wonderful experience! Boston Park Plaza has some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in the hospitality industry. Everyone from the staff in the lobby to housekeeping was exceptional. Your employees are the shining stars of this establishment!
