Embassy Suites by Hilton Monterey Bay Seaside

Monterey, California Coast

The hotel

It's nice to be able to relax in the spacious comfort of your two-room suite, but the complimentary hot breakfast buffet and made-to-order omelette station will help get you out and set up for the day. At the Embassy Suites by Hilton Monterey Bay Seaside, you are a couple of blocks from the beach and just two miles north of Downtown Monterey. There are lots of attractions and activities along the Bay too, such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium or Steinbeck Museum, or head out in the car for 20 minutes or so for a bit of hiking, winery action or spa treats. The hotel’s 2-hour evening reception with complimentary cocktails and snacks is a great way to kick-off your evening. The Silver Tide Bar & Grill is in the atrium too, so why not drop in afterwards for some local California cuisine?

The Monterey Bay Embassy Suites was clean and well organized. The complimentary breakfast and manager's reception are well done. It was the perfect location for our stay on the Monterey peninsula. I always look for the Hilton Embassy Suites brand and we have never been disappointed.

Excellent accommodations and friendly, helpful staff and the parking was free! The breakfast food was fine with omelets and pancakes made to order, the free reception was an added bonus. We will definitely return.

The beds were very uncomfortable. Almost as though we were on the springs. I also dont understand why guests have to pay an additional fee for parking, especially being as there were homeless people living in vans in the parking lot. It isnt close to the beach that i would see parking being a problem. I think it is just a way to charge 200+ per… Read more

It was a trip for the kids and they really enjoyed it. breakfast was great. and other than the beds and parking we had a great stay Read less

Stayed for two nights. Expensive hotel at over $250 a night and therefore we were expecting better service. We decided to book a suite as this would sleep four people and therefore keep the cost down. Although they knew it was for four people only one bed was made up. We called down and they told us to 'make the sofa bed ourselves.' We didn't think this was very friendly, but set about trying to make it. We didn't have enough sheets, pillows or towels - very poor service and we had to keep calling down to reception asking for them. They charge for parking @ $15 a night - again we were off season so this charge is extortionate. No porters to help with the luggage - it's do it yourself time!! The suite was dark and uninviting certainly not worth the money. Only benefit of this hotel the free drinks in the happy hour. We wouldn't stay again. Read less
