Upon check in noticed ants in bathroom and on tables. Soundproofing in ceiling is very poor as kept up two nights by upstairs guests. Informed staff and told unable to change rooms as hotel was full and they had checked a family with three small children in above me.

I’ve been a huge fan of Hilton Garden Inns and this one was our first over 20 years ago when it was Mission Inn. But we were so disappointed in our recent stay. It is run down, table leg was falling off, carpet has a big tear, and some more wear and tear to moldings, the shower had hairs and razor caps laying on the top of the tub. But the biggest issue was the carpet. We had 2 rooms and both were the same. The carpet was filthy, your feet would be black within minutes. Had to wear shoes or socks. The grandkids were filthy from crawling around. I love HGI, but won’t be returning to the Pismo Hilton until they renovate. Read less

This hotel seriously needs updating. Entering the hotel it is old looking. The lobby furniture is worn out and needs refurbishing. Check in process was good and efficient. The rooms left a little to the imagination. The carpets throughout the hotel & in our room needs to be replaced. Sum it up, it being a Hilton, very disappointed!

Wanted a quick mid-week getaway from the valley heat. My family has stayed here before and had a great experience, but not this time. I have been a Hilton Honors member since 2009 and have always received the room that I requested when using early check-in and selecting the room, but not this time. I did receive the room next door, but the room I was supposed to receive had the TV at what sounded was the loudest setting and then they were talking over the TV. In addition, every time they left the room they would slam the door. I gave them until about midnight to quiet down since we got in late from dinner. At that time we called the front desk using the hotel phone and received no response. We then called the hotel directly using our cell phone and the night manager just blew off the issue like she did not want to deal with it. The morning manager was more hospitable and did notify us that the party was kicked out. However, the damage was already done and instead of enjoying the central coast that day we just went straight home. It is still a lovely hotel in a good location, just a bad experience this time. If the issue was resolved early I would have given the hotel a higher rating. Unfortunately, it was just some bad apples that ruined this getaway. Read less

I used BA Avios to book and the reservation didn’t connect with the Hilton system at first but I don’t blame the hotel for that. Rooms are quiet and clean, but the hotel is conveniently close to the highway and the outlets the other side of the highway. The breakfast was quite good and it’s a great town.
