This was our first time staying at the Sea Venture. We usually stay at the Cliffs or Sycamore springs ( I really enjoyed both places and would highly recommend)but we were travelling with other family members who had stay at Seaventure several times and so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately for us our troubles started for us at check in. Somehow our reservations got cancelled by the hotel on accident. We were told it was an miscommunication on there part. The first clerk was very pleasent but at a loss on what to do since they were sold out. She called another clerk over to assist. I believe here name was Tracy ( not postive though) she was also very pleasent and apologetic. She did find us a room. It wasnt a oceanview in fact it wasnt any view. No balcony or hottub and coffee maker didnt work. The next day they did get us a partial view room. We really didnt enjoy our stay but part of the reason is the room changes. I think maybe if we had gotten a oceanview room at checkin it may have been a different story. On the postive side the employees were very nice and did try. They gave us a gift certificate for dinner that evening but we were so tired were really didnt have time to enjoy it. Everything was just so rushed. Not sure if it was worth the money or if we will stay agai. Will probably stay at one of the other two I mentioned earlier, but if I do I will update the review. Read less

We staycationed here a couple times now. The hot tubs on the patios are not as deep as the ones at Sycamore Mineral Springs but we really enjoyed it. We had a room with 2 double beds, they are just too small for my husband and I to be comfortable! Two Queens would be SO much better to get a good night's sleep. We had a room with 2 double beds, they are just too small for my husband and I to be comfortable! Two Queens would be SO much better to get a good night's sleep. We traveled with our 8 & 10 yr old children and they were just fine bunking up. The fireplace was amazing, it worked better than any gas fireplace I've ever used (residential or otherwise.) You could turn the fireplace fan on or off to adjust the room temperature. Breakfast was inexpensive and there were all the basic offerings brought directly to your room in the morning. Bagels were $2 sausage egg sandwich was $6, yogurt and fruit $2. Best part was the location. We walked a short distance to Hot Shots in the evening and played pool and air hockey with the kids, munched on a pizza and enjoyed a couple beers. I feel we got a good deal on the room @ $229 for a Friday night. Read less

This is by far my favorite hotel in Pismo. The staff is wonderful. The private balcony spa is awesome! They have recently redecorated. The armoire where the tv was is gone. Now there's a wall mounted 50-60in flat screen. I also love that there's a ceiling fan. When we've stayed in the past the king size bed has been sooo comfy. I don't know if… Read more

I don't know if they've replaced all the beds or something, but the bed was NOT comfortable at all this time. It was even too firm for my husband, which is saying a lot. I'm only giving 4 stars because of the bed, otherwise it deserves 5 stars in my opinion. Read less

We had a second floor room with a partial view - just right to watch the sun come up and see the ocean in the mornings. Staff was extremely helpful with our questions and offered suggestions for dinner. We also enjoyed dinner in the restaurant on the night of the jazz trio and enjoyed that very much.
