On the beachfront in Santa Barbara, within a 10 minute walk of the pier and a 15-minute walk to the centre. There's easy access to Highway 101 and the Amtrak railway station.

360 rooms and suites, with a light and airy beachfront-style theme. All have either a balcony or patio, air-conditioning, WiFi access, large HDTV, mini-fridge, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and board, and safe. Resort View Rooms have either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

The Roundhouse (open for breakfast), The Set (bistro-style restaurant with outdoor fire pits and ocean views, open for lunch and dinner), Terraza del Mar (poolside snack bar), Java del Mar (coffee shop). Fess Parker Wine Tasting Room (open Tue–Sun). Heated outdoor pool. Whirlpool. Spa*. Fitness centre. Tennis. Bike rentals*. Lawn games, including shuffleboard and table tennis. Gift shop. It was my parents 58th wedding anniversary and they don’t have much money. I wanted to cover the $200 incidentals on my own card. In the end they charged my parents and I’m out of the country right now and it’s not easy to transfer money to them digitally because my dad is 94 years old and does not understand such things. After speaking to Michael Glover and the Diamond desk I got no where but a lot of stress for me and a lot of stress for my parents when this was supposed to be a happy fun time has now turned into a big mess for all of us. You can cancel my account with Hilton I don’t need any more sorrys and points. All i wanted was to pay for the incidentals on my parents room and they turned it into a catastrophe!! I will take my business elsewhere and never stay in a Hilton again. I don’t need points and I did not ask for one thing just to switch the card to help them enjoy their anniversary and they could not accommodate me. Shame on you Michael Glover and staff!! I even contacted them 2 days before and told them it was my parents anniversary 58th wedding anniversary and that I wanted to pay and this terrible hotel did not even leave them a little cake or a card or nothing. The location is excellent. The rooms are nice sized...most have balconies. Facilities are older, but seem pretty well maintained. Diamond benefits pretty generous, particularly in this Covid era. I am sorry to say but was completely disappointed. 1. Requested a ground level room because I have a dog. When I checked in they said the room they booked me is only on second or third floor. I am sorry to say but was completely disappointed. 1. Requested a ground level room because I have a dog. When I checked in they said the room they booked me is only on second or third floor. So upgraded me to junior suite. 2. Got to room and went to put champagne in mini frig only to find out the little metal bar that holds bottles in the door of the frig was missing. Had to take frig apart to fit bottle in it. 3. Turned heat on and after 2 hours the temp never changed. I called and they sent maintenence and that didn't fix it. 4 while in bathroom noticed ugly tile ceiling then noticed tiles were wonky and not fitting quite right then noticed they were all mildewy and moldy 5. Was happy my junior suite had patio until I went on patio and saw I shared it with 4 other units WHILE I HAVE A DOG. 6. While on my patio I noticed cigarette butts and rodent poop. Made me wonder how much attention they pay to cleanliness especially during covid. 7. Had manager come to room to show him condition of room and he said he could take some off the price of the room. I said thank you....I then said I'm not looking for a refund but this room is less impressive than a super 8 8. Before manager left I noticed masking tape holding on fire alarm on ceiling and pointed that out to him, he apologized for that particular thing and finally said thats embarrassing. 9. When all was said and done he took $100 off the room. Total cost of room was $435 AFTER he discounted it. I was shocked. Moral of the story is I expected to treat myself to a really needed retreat and chose the hiton thinking that when I stayed at the Hilton in Seattle it WAS AMAZING. The one in santa barbara was a dump for $435. The fact that everything i pointed out to manager was of no concern other than fire alarm proved to me that the dumpy accommodations we considered normal. #1 do not pre-pay for breakfast on Expedia as the front desk did not give us our vouchers and then gave us a hard time when we asked for them. #2 The spa is only open on the weekend, huge bummer for me and my 3 girls. #3 The room we had was very outdated, had black mold on the drop ceiling, toilet didn't work. #4 We didn't have power one night due… Read more

Lovely, sprawling hotel fronting SB beachfront. Great location. Appreciated covid safe stay measures. Easily walked out of our room to the bike trail. So much to see and do for scenic bikers. SB 100% bike friendly. Enjoyed location and quiet of our room - 707.
