We visited the Fairmont Miramar (Santa Monica) for the first time in April, 2021 and had a wonderful stay. We stayed with them for two weeks. First off, the staff go above and beyond - they are friendly, courteous and listen well. In particular, Dana and GG at the front desk were extremely helpful and helped us with numerous tasks throughout our stay. Daniel with the valet service was very pleasant and was able to give excellent golf and food recommendations. The staff members made our stay very memorable and we will return because of them. Second, the pool and hot tub area were excellent with enough chairs to comfortably seat everyone (at a distance). It was refreshing to have a hot tub that was actually hot and not lukewarm. Thirdly the gym is excellent with a nice outdoor terrace which is the perfect place to stretch and do some exercises in the sun. Our room also had a beautiful view of the ocean/beach. Fourth, the location is right in the middle of Santa Monica but far enough from the pier that it's not over-crowded. You're walking distance from tons of amazing restaurants, the beach, and some great shopping. One downside is that there are very limited lunch options, especially at the pool. Their restaurant, Fig, has excellent breakfast/dinner but was not open for lunch during our stay. The pool food was decent but could definitely use some improvement. Nonetheless, we loved our stay and will definitely return! Read less

The rooms were ok nothing special and the view was nice though offset by the pounding music from the club below. Luckily the windows were relatively sound proof and by the time we went to bed the music was done. Though I understand that things are just opening up, I was disappointed that more amenities were not available (spa was closed and the main restaurant I was closed) the two days we were here. That being said, we ate at the Lounge both nights and had a wonderful server Lupe. She was efficient, prompt, helpful and friendly. She was there when we needed her but not hovering. The night manager came and chatted with us both nights as well. It was a nice break from reality and would come back just for the staff. Read less

We had a wonderful time at the Fairmont. We stayed in a family suite. It was perfect for our family. The room was clean and the staff very attentive to all our needs. We loved the fact that the hotel had bicycle at our disposal.

We visited the Fairmont Miramar for the first time recently and, suffice it to say, we were highly impressed! We were celebrating my wife's birthday and I called ahead of time to ask if they could help have flowers in the room and accommodate a delivery so that everything was ready when we arrived. Not only were they incredibly helpful with my requests, they went above and beyond, providing us celebratory amenities that I didn't even ask for. I cannot speak more highly of Pete, Raymond and the entire front desk staff. As a result of this experience and how we were treated, we've decided that this is now our go-to hotel whenever we come to Santa Monica and are already planning our next excursion. Oh and I'd also like to note how amazing the food is at Fig - we visited other much more expensive restaurants in the area and they all paled in comparison to the service and exceptional food at Fig. Read less
