Virgin rating

The hotel

As soon as you arrive, you’ll see the natural stone and soothing wood panelling, like a giant Alpine-style retreat. This one overlooks the picturesque Sierra mountain range and Lake Tahoe. You can even enjoy these views from the picture windows in your room which, handily, is soundproofed to make sure you get a good night’s sleep. You may need it after exploring Heavenly's trails. Plus there’s so much to do here, from gambling in the casino and taking in one of the shows, to dining in fabulous restaurants (or in the all-you-can-eat buffet if you’re really hungry!). If all that sounds far too strenuous by half, fear not. The spa treatments, steam room, heated pool and sauna are all perfect for relaxing.

I would never ever stay here again especially for the cost of the room the gaming as tight as Fort Knox, the bed alone was unbearable to sleep on as hard as a rock. No refrigerator or coffee pot and the resort fee terrible.

This place hasn't been updated since the 80's. I would rather stay downtown Las Vegas with the bums than this place. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Smelled like hour old fried burger’s

We have stayed at this property twice. Both times the hallways on the floors we stayed on smelled like someone had fried hamburgers an hour prior. The light in the pool was broiling and floating by its wires.

I have been staying at Harrah's since the mid-80s, back then it was a beautiful, clean amazing hotel. Worth the price to stay there. Not sure what happen but it all started with management getting rid of Sammy's rail. The bar area snaked around where tons of people could sit, drink, and people watch or meeting up with everyone. Once they shifted this to dance floor, bright lights, disco ball it killed the vibe. Then management started upstairs where in evening you could go to the top either sit in nice bar area or grab a booth along the windows and enjoy the view and cocktails. Again ruined everything ripped out. Now the buffet, used to have chefs food excellent now sort of fast food buffet nothing like it was in the golden day where you were seated, table cloths, waitress brining your drinks then go check out all the food.
