Having flown through the night this was just what we needed, thank you to Gina who checked us in. The location is awesome- right across the road from the beach. As many towels as wanted could be taken for the beach or pool. The room was ok, beds very comfortable and clean but the whole place does need a face lift, its quite tired. We were on the 19th floor but the street noise was still loud, sound proofing needs to be considered. We had the coconut club as part of our package and this was really good, breakfast was more than adequate and the snacks in the afternoon were great. A lovely lady called Pilar was there in the coconut club every morning during the week and she never stopped working keeping the place immaculate. We ate at the Tiki restaurant in the hotel one night and the meal was excellent. The parking fee at $45.00, we thought, was very expensive and taking advantage of the fact that you have no choice but to pay it. Read less

The room itself is nice, a little tight for 5 to be comfortable, but I would book here again. Proximity to the beach is across the street which is nice. There's an ABC Store 2 minutes walking distance in every direction for convenience. I will say, I'm not the biggest fan of the fact that maintenance isn't until around 4pm, however the… Read more

I will say, I'm not the biggest fan of the fact that maintenance isn't until around 4pm, however the housekeeping staff is quick & efficient. The best part of my stay has to be the great staff working in the Coconut Club! Pilar and Mia who work breakfast are an absolute pleasure and always greeted us with a smile, and the man in the afternoon making the mocktails is incredibly kind and has his customer service skills on point! There was a terrible piercing noise in our room and when the maintenance guy came up it turned out it was the toilet. He fixed it for a couple of hours and then it went all night ! I also paid the extra for a club room and by the time we checked in we were ready for a drink, can you believe they do not serve any alcohol in their club room ?? Maybe it should have been rename a kids room. I have travelled all around the world and never have I been to a club room without alcohol. We walked straight out in disgust. I complained to the manger as it was advertised when I booked that there was alcohol but apparently they changed there policy a couple of weeks before we arrived. I said it was terrible and maybe they should have contacted everyone who had paid for a club room the option to remove it from their room. Not worth the extra money... we ended up going downstairs to the bar and paying for our drinks. The manager offered me a $30 refund, big deal but I never even received that. Not one good thing to say about this hotel and definitely would not recommend staying here. Luckily for us it was only for 1 night as we had stayed 2 weeks elsewhere and had a wonderful stay. Image of the Tripadvisor rating Terrific location, but a bit like boarding a cruise ship

Terrific location, not a typical Hawaii hotel. Mostly tourists with buffet lines and vouchers for guests. Nice public spaces, good for families, but a big property that is quite the opposite of a boutique property if a visitor is seeking something small an intimate.
