Asked to switch rooms because room smelled like smoke. They said they could spray it with freshener. They did. It was helpful for about 12 hours. Moved us to a new room. Again smelled like smoke. Would not let us cancel the rest of our stay. Other hairs were found all over the room and in the towels. Disgusting.

Over-all the hotel was clean! You can see the staff disinfecting surfaces and enforcing CDC and state mandates. The rooms were very nice and the check in process is so simple now that I prefer to stay at an MGM Resorts International property for that reason alone. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of my room upon my arrival will force me to consider other hotels in the future. As you can imagine, this was extremely disappointing and raises concerns about the low standard that management apparently requires housekeeping staff to meet. I found several areas with "pockets" of dust, which is an indication that these areas had been lacking housekeeping attention for quite some time. This wasn't simply dust that had accumulated in the hours from when housekeeping cleaned the room and when I arrived. Guests had been forced to breathe this dust for quite some time as it was apparent effective housekeeping is not a priority for. When casinos in Las Vegas were given the green light to reopen in June, MGM Resorts was quick to promote their "seven point safety plan". That plan states " We want you to have confidence when you check into a room, that it has been cleaned and disinfected using the latest in technology and most potent, but safe, solutions". I did not have this confidence when I saw the condition of my room at Luxor. Read less

our last 3 visits to the Luxor have been disrupted by young people coming to their rooms yelling, laughing or talking loudly for 3 to 30 minutes in the hallway, not caring that others are trying to sleep. There is also no security to get on the elevator. A street person was on our floor asleep that had to be removed. You used to have to have a… Read more
