Mammoth Mountain Inn

Mammoth, USA

The hotel

Built in 1957, Mammoth Mountain Inn was Mammoth's first ski-resort accommodation and the only slope-side hotel at Mammoth's Main Lodge. Today it offers activities year round — in summer there's hiking, biking and outdoor adventures, and in winter it's a core skiers' and snowboarders' paradise, with the ultimate entry point to the slopes. Ski to the hotel at the end of the day and you can soon be blowing the steam off your hot toddy. Take a dip in the outdoor pool or one of the indoor or outdoor hot tubs. The Yodler dining terrace is the ideal place for a light snack on a sunny day and the great après-ski atmosphere in the Dry Creek Lounge is further enhanced by regular live music.

I just had the pleasure of staying here. My visit was made more enjoyable by the super-friendly and very helpful staff. The location has a great view of the Mammoth ski area which is just across the road and easy parking. The hotel is far from new, but very clean and a real value - all of which are at the top of my list of requirements.

We went over the Memorial Day weekend in 2021. Its a nice place, but the room was a bit shabby. The molding by the ceiling was broken, and the heating vent was kind of rusty looking. Convenient to attractions in Mammoth. No room service.

Mammoth inn is a pretty great place to ski for a weekend. You could totally fit 6 people in the 4-person king loft. We're walking distance from the lifts at main which was nice too. We had a pretty nice balcony view of the mountain which was cool I want to give a special shout out to Kristin at the front desk. She solved like three problems for us like opening wine and late checkout plans and is like the funniest, most cheerful person ever. Really brightened our day! Read less

I only asked for a quiet room, and I was assigned to the noisiest room in the whole building (because of humming noise of a generator right beside it). I called and was told that I can be moved to another room on the same floor. Then, when I called again after 10 min of holding, was told that he just checked other people to a couple of rooms on… Read more

Just speechless. Read less

Great spot right at the hill. Lots of hidden extras (peloton in fitness center?! Yay!) and sweet little coffee shop with excellent customer service. This year has been stressful.
