Meritage Resort and Spa

Napa, Napa Valley Wine Region

The hotel

You know you’ve reached wine country when you arrive at Meritage Resort & Spa. On the threshold of Napa Valley, its design may be Tuscan-inspired, but its soul is pure Napa, with views of a grapevine-covered slope as you swim, hiking (or strolling) trails through nine acres of vineyards, an underground tasting room, and wine served at every turn. But it’s also a place that recognises exceptional wine should be paired with life’s other luxuries: separate adult and family pools, al fresco fireplaces and whirlpools, lazy Sunday brunches, and wining and dining venues like award-winning Siena, the Crush bowling lounge, a café-come-gelateria, and a luxury wine bar. But it’s the Estate Cave that promises the most indulgence; 40 ft underground, it hosts a wine tasting room and Spa Terra’s steam grottos and soaking pools.

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the Meritage Resort. We did not have a good experience both before and during our stay. We originally booked 3 nights but then needed to shorten our stay. The online system would not process the change of dates so I called and fortunately received a confirmation with the updated dates because when we arrived the hotel still showed us staying for 3 nights. Without that document we would have been charged for the cancelled night. There was more bad news when we got to our room and found a leather chair and ottoman that were literally falling apart. Some ares of the leather were completely gone. At the Meritage prices I would expect the room to be impeccable and it was far from it. Read less

We were staying @ a Hilton during our fire response. Rooms were full of ants called Mertiage and they gladly took us all. We should of stayed there from the beginning. Awesome staff. Can’t wait to go back.
