Meritage Resort and Spa

Napa, Napa Valley Wine Region

The hotel

You know you’ve reached wine country when you arrive at Meritage Resort & Spa. On the threshold of Napa Valley, its design may be Tuscan-inspired, but its soul is pure Napa, with views of a grapevine-covered slope as you swim, hiking (or strolling) trails through nine acres of vineyards, an underground tasting room, and wine served at every turn. But it’s also a place that recognises exceptional wine should be paired with life’s other luxuries: separate adult and family pools, al fresco fireplaces and whirlpools, lazy Sunday brunches, and wining and dining venues like award-winning Siena, the Crush bowling lounge, a café-come-gelateria, and a luxury wine bar. But it’s the Estate Cave that promises the most indulgence; 40 ft underground, it hosts a wine tasting room and Spa Terra’s steam grottos and soaking pools.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Extreemly great service, a couple very minor issues in room

Wonderful place with first class service. A couple very minor items in the room, where the remote would not work correctly and had to use the side of the TV to power up and also the hair dryer has about a 14-in cord on it so you have to bend over to use it over the sink. I wish it had a longer cord. Beautiful place, had a conference there. … Read more
Wonderful place with first class service. I wish it had a longer cord. Beautiful place, had a conference there. Food kind of expensive, but it's a resort. Small coffee is like $4-$5 at their coffee shop. It has great amenities with an underground spa which is cool. A 100-min massage will run $300. There is a deck in the back on top of the hill above the Spa. Short hike and has a nice gazebo. My wife and I stayed at the resort to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary on NYE. The resort was an amazing place. A good base cmp to go to both Napa and Sonoma wineries. We also attended the NYE dinner and party onsite. Well worth the cost. What an amazing stay. Can't wait to return!!!

I was there for a social media conference as a speaker & they put me in the wrong room -- couldn't change because it was sold out & front desk responded with an "oh well" attitude. I was there for a social media conference as a speaker & they put me in the wrong room -- couldn't change because it was sold out & front desk responded with an "oh well" attitude. So many things went wrong -- locked out of room multiple times & since I was in the other building it is a long walk to the front desk. They don't send anyone to help you -- you must go back with all your bags & things. There has to be a better way... It's not good if you've got all your bags, wearing heels & have to trek back to the front desk to gain entry to your room. I found it was best to bring a bellman along with me in case of issues. No microwave in rooms - so, if you are like me & always bringing leftovers home for later -- you can't heat them up or you need to take them to the front desk & ask them to heat them for you -- which are cold by the time you get back to your room in the other building. The place could be great -- but they need to think about their guests especially those located in the other buildings that don't have easy access to the front desk. Read less

Over this past weekend I stayed at The Meritage and EVERYTHING was amazing especially the customer service from Amy when I came to tour and when I stayed. I am not big on leaving reviews when I stay but it was an absolute must for this resort. The older I get the more I realize that supreme customer service is hard to come by and I received nothing short of it when stayed here. I also ate dinner at Olive and Hay and had an amazing experience. While planing your Napa Valley experience don’t look past this resort! Downtown Napa is about a 10 minute drive from the resort. Thank you again Meritage staff the Amazing experience! I WILL be back! Read less

Excellent service and accommodation. Great front desk staff. We enjoyed cleanliness throughout our stay. We were part of my granddaughter wedding party and we all enjoyed our stay. We definitely recommend the resort for future events.
