Meritage Resort and Spa

Napa, Napa Valley Wine Region

Virgin rating

The hotel

You know you’ve reached wine country when you arrive at Meritage Resort & Spa. On the threshold of Napa Valley, its design may be Tuscan-inspired, but its soul is pure Napa, with views of a grapevine-covered slope as you swim, hiking (or strolling) trails through nine acres of vineyards, an underground tasting room, and wine served at every turn. But it’s also a place that recognises exceptional wine should be paired with life’s other luxuries: separate adult and family pools, al fresco fireplaces and whirlpools, lazy Sunday brunches, and wining and dining venues like award-winning Siena, the Crush bowling lounge, a café-come-gelateria, and a luxury wine bar. But it’s the Estate Cave that promises the most indulgence; 40 ft underground, it hosts a wine tasting room and Spa Terra’s steam grottos and soaking pools.

Very nice place. Unfortunately that weekend there wasn’t any on site activities for residents of the Resort. No comedy and wine, no cooking class, no live music or entertainment. Luckily we got invited to the private party hosted across the street at Lawn and tasting rooms. The “NAPA LIVE EXPERIENCE “ saved our trip!!

I had an awesome experience checking in with Kay-Lee at the front desk. She was very helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating to coordinate my friends room and mine to be set up next to each other last minute! She is an awesome front desk agent! Read less

I took my mom here for her birthday, and it was a great relaxing escape. We loved the wine tastings, Olive and Hay, the bowling alley and much more. Imani was very inviting in welcoming us and very helpful in resolving invoicing questions upon check out.

I have had several dozen massages, but the massage that I received today from Mercer was truly amazing. The massage was relaxing, and Mercer is quite knowledgeable regarding various muscle groups and pressure points. Thank you Mercer!
