The hotel

Everywhere you turn there are awesome spectacles to behold in this exotic wonderland, including the amazing 1.6 million-gallon aquarium known as Shark Reef, world-class nightlife, and top class cuisine makes an appearance in Kumi Japanese Restaurant. More highlights include the whopping five swimming pools, lazy river ride, and a wave pool with a sandy beach, all of which give you a welcome relief in that midday Vegas sun. The fully air-conditioned Casino on the Beach is accessible in your swimwear too, even the dealers wear casual beach outfits! All in all, Mandalay Bay is not so much a hotel as a big, beautiful resort city with everything you need right on property!

The elevators to the rooms were expedient. We were on the 19th floor in a resort king room facing Delano and Allegiant stadium. The room was very clean, large and spacious. Loved the bathrooms' double sinks and soaker tub! Also enjoyed access to the (free) shuttles that go to the Luxor and Excalibur. It was great to retreat here after a day or night on the strip. Having all the snacks on the counter and minibar filled was not a good experience. The resort fee does not include anything. No parking, no bottle of water, no discount on anything? The front desk attendant did not know that the concierge had no access to the shark reef ticketing system. That is not good communication. The front desk should know this stuff and the consierge should have access. Why is there a disconnect? Also the front desk attendant watched as the consierge person left her post at 7:58 PM (desk closes as 8 PM) and did not call after her when we had a question. We were within speaking distance. There is no feeling that this is a 4-star experience and the guest is not taken care of. Also, the Border Grill restaurant is leased so it cannot add points to MGM Rewards system is a terrible disconnect. Is this an integrated seamless resort or a collection of separate businesses? Image of the Tripadvisor rating Clean and Nice

The hotel is clean and nice. Food option is limited though for families with kids. The Food court is nothing to brag about. Restaurants do not have kids friendly menus. There’s also not much varieties in terms of brand name shopping.

We just wanted a holiday getaway with no stress and that is what we got. From the Beautiful room to the wonderful staff we always felt special. We even saw David Copperfield at the MGM Grand and Post Cards from Earth at the Sphere. Such a great vacation
