The Venetian Resort Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Las Vegas excels at delivering the impossible in wonderful ways. Where else can you touch down in the Mojave desert and, within 15 minutes, find yourself being serenaded on a gondola ride to St Mark’s Square? A magnificent greatest hits of Venice’s architecture and canals located in the middle of The Strip, the all-suite Venetian is probably the most romantic hotel in Vegas, so let yourself be seduced. Wonder how you ever managed to stay in anything smaller than a suite before, enjoy a meal from one of the Michelin-starred restaurants, walk hand in hand down the Grand Canal shopping esplanade or party the night away in one of the many bars and nightclubs.

Pros first Rooms large and good amenities Great commercial music played in all areas (is not hotel lobby tracks) Close to the main attractions and walkable in the area Front desk rep Carla removed my daily resort fees due to issues I had while staying there. See below. Cons Smoke in all areas except non smoking rooms but smoke and stale air meet you everywhere Not sure how people work there without risk to their health The hotel doesn’t smell fresh or nice ever Check in line was long which when you come off a long haul flight is the last thing you want Room was very dated Could find a way to open the curtains so tugged them shut and didn’t bother opening them again as there was no obvs mechanism Remote for either of the two televisions in the room didn’t work. WiFi in room didn’t work - had to call to get at IT tech up next day to get me connected Phones in room didn’t work Mini fridge in room cannot be touched or emptied or you will be charged Hotel is packed day and night. Peace is impossible When I checked my bill before departure there was $700 of laundry charges. I had been there 48 hrs and not had room service or housekeeping and definitely not used laundry services. Front desk tried to help but said they could not remove the charges without approval from a manager. Not sure how long that would take. I had to leave the hotel without confirmation it would be reversed so hoping they resolve it and don’t charge my card In the end I couldn’t stand it so checked out earlier. Read less

The worst hotel experience ever!! Filthy room! We found someone else’s clothes in one of our drawers! Blood stain on dirty sheets! The longest hold time on the phone (45 minutes) before getting connected to the front desk! Complete lack of service!

Staff was extremely courteous. The hotel itself has so many top notch restaurants to choose from and each one more delicious than the last! The shops are amazing and the whole ambiance of Venice indoors is just icing on the cake! This is the best hotel in Vegas in my opinion. Definitely worth staying here! Can’t wait to stay here again! You can’t find on the Las Vegas strip a more exquisite resort from the beautiful suites, dining experiences and gaming fun. The architecture and overall property transforms you to feeling as though you are in Venice. The staff, some having worked there since Venetian opened, go above and beyond your typical employee staff. The entertainment is phenomenal and you can access the Sphere from the convention room side between Venetian and Palazzo now. This has been and will always be my favorite and only place to stay on the Las Vegas strip. Read less

Wonderful luxury experience. There will be hidden fees ie resort fees. They were able to check us in early but with upgrade and additional fee. Overall, happy with the quality. Place is huge so the signage the maps are adequate but had to ask for directions a few times.
