Vdara Hotel & Spa at ARIA Las Vegas

The Strip, Las Vegas

Virgin rating

The hotel

Designed for those who want to tap into the energy and excitement of Las Vegas but would prefer to enjoy it from an exclusive, non-gaming and smoke-free resort, Vdara is one of few hotels in Vegas not to house a casino. What you get instead is a cosmopolitan, all-suite hotel that feels blissfully private despite being in the heart of the action. The cutting-edge pool is surrounded by private retreats, semi-private plunge pools and cabanas; there’s a world-class spa, and you are a few short minutes away from a dizzying range of dining, shopping and entertainment options, so you’ll never be short of things to do. The Vdara really is an oasis in the desert.

3 days here for the NAB conference. I had an excellent stay. The room overlooked the strip, prices are a bit high, but it's on the strip so that's par for the course. I loved that it connected to other hotels and casinos. I'm coming back here for sure.

We’ve stayed at The Vdara numerous times. We changed our preferred Vegas hotel because the Vdara experience had declined over time. But we came back this year to give Vdara another chance. Location is excellent, we’ve found it hard to beat. Non casino hotel is also a benefit in our opinion. This stay we had a corner suite whose outlook was poor but after conversation with front desk we changed our room for much better outlook after a couple of days. Room is well equipped (used to be better) like an apartment suite. The Vdara bar is good and location excellent. Your second popcorn in the bar will cost you $11 (first one is free) so take into account if snacking over a beer. Front desk dealt with a few things we had to do efficiently. The Vdara used to be better / excellent and our first stays there warranted 5 stars but now it’s settled at a 4 star rating and despite some shortcomings, the Vdara should be on your Vegas shortlist. It's a non casino hotel with almost zero facilities (perhaps a gym) on its premises - no eating outlets only a Starbucks and a small retail shop for convenience (a wannabe 711), pool facilities closed, and an outrageous resort fee charge of $45 per night. Looks like the building was supposed to be a condo and has cooking facilities, but no crockery stocked up. one has to call housekeeping for the basics even a kettle for hot water. Cleanliness of room are expected. I would give a star to its location another star to its big and open driveway is is not cluttered but somewhat confusing that even Uber drivers get lost! perhaps half a star to its walkway links to the Cosmopolitan, the Bellagio and the tram (with 3 stops). Security staff at these hotels can give one a dirty look at off hours. Value for money is questionable and have to be very forgiving Read less

Great two night stay with comfortable bed and outstanding shower/bath area. The panoramic room provided wonderful daylight in all the rooms - shades and blackout curtains worked well and allowed privacy as needed from nearby rooms. While there was a kitchenette - honestly this is more for "reheat" as there is limited to no supplies (unlike a VRBO). Similar limits for the laundry. That said, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable providing a great respite from the Vegas action. Might not be a hotel for the serious gambler, but we loved it and would book again. Read less
