The hotel

Conrad New York Downtown is a statement hotel in a stunning location, overlooking the Hudson River from its spot in Lower Manhattan’s Battery Park City. As you step into its sky-scraping 15 storey lobby, it’s ready to wow: there’s the instant impact of its bold design; the multi-storey art installation by Sol LeWitt; the 24 hour fitness hub; and the sophisticated dining of ATRIO. But it does save some pleasures for higher floors. As you scale this all-suite hotel’s grand stairways, you reach more than 2,000 works of gallery worthy art; luxurious 2 room suites for all guests; and, the cherry on the top, a seasonal rooftop deck where small plates, ‘Prosecco & Ice Pop’ cocktails, and Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor views all vie for top billing.

Where is it

A short walk from TriBeCa, SoHo, Greenwich Village, and the Meatpacking District, and close to sightseeing hotspots like One World Trade Center, the Financial District, and the boat launches for Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. The Fulton Center transit and retail complex is also within a short stroll, giving you excellent transport links around Manhattan. Transfer time from John F. Kennedy International Airport: 40 minutes.

463 suites. All with climate control, 2 HDTVs with premium channels, Conrad Concierge App (for reservations and amenity requests) and one touch room control technology, wet bar, Nespresso coffee machine, mini-bar*, rainfall shower, bathrobe and slippers, and nightly turndown service. Deluxe Suites are 430 sq ft and have a separate living room with 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Hudson River View Suites are also 430 sq ft with a separate living room but with stunning Hudson River views, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Executive Suites are larger at 700 sq ft with a private bedroom and oversized living room with sofa with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Luxury Corner Suites are even more spacious at 750 sq ft with wonderful views, private bedroom and separate living room with a sofa with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Conrad Suites are 1500 sq ft expansive, apartment-style, top-floor suite, overlooking Lower Manhattan with a private study with computer, a living area with plush seating and HDTVs and a kitchenette with a stylish dining room with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

My husband, grandson and I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel over spring break celebrating our anniversary. The concierge staff went out of their way to make sure that we had a wonderful schedule for seeing the city and dining options. The front desk staff upgraded our room to a Riverview which we enjoyed so much. Everyone was so nice and hospitable which made our stay so enjoyable. Our room was large and comfortable for the three of us. Turn down service was so nice after a busy day of sightseeing. I can’t say enough nice things! We will definitely stay here again! Read less

No doubt on convenient location of the hotel we stayed here to catch our ferry for Liberty Ferry. We want to say special thanks to Stephanie M. and her team. She proactive offered us upgrade to for our family celebration in New York. Her attention to detail truly standout as the accommodations provided were not generalized, but tailored to our needs as a traveling family with a baby. Stephanie arranged crib/extra fridge/a printed family photo, along with the balloons and cake to made our stay truly memorable. We did encountered minor issues during our stay, but Stephanie and team handled them with professionalism and care, ensuring that all our concerns were promptly addressed. We definitely recommend NY conrad downtown to friends and family and will be returning to Conrad Downtown NY for our future visits to New York City. Read less

My favorite place to stay in NYC. Everyone is so helpful and friendly, the rooms are giant by NY standards and very quiet with lots of cool features (filtered water machine, rain shower). We stayed here for several nights while in town for a family member's wedding, and had an excellent time. The hotel is elegant and minimalist, and even though it's in a busy area, it's not too loud. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, the rooms are spacious and well-stocked, and the hotel is in a central area with everything we need (good restaurants, things to do, etc.). There was a farewell brunch on the last day, and the food was pretty good (the parfaits were really popular). I only took off a star for two reasons: when we first stepped into the hotel, there would be an odd smell that reminded us of cigarettes, and we heard other people commenting on it as well. Also, valet parking was $80/day, even if you weren't spending the night. Read less

What I love about Conrad is that the team's staff, from the front desk to the concierge and housekeeping team, is super sweet. The rooms here are spacious. (You are in NYC) If you take a river view room, you can see the Hudson River and the night view of the high rises across the river. One of the reasons I chose to stay here is that all rooms are equipped with a water dispenser system. I can refill my water bottle before heading out to the city, and it is also environmentally friendly. The location is convenient if you are planning to see the Library of Status. Battery Park is close by, and the 911 Museum, World Trade Center, and Wall Street are all within walking distance. For the upper town area, there is a little bit of travel, but the Line 1 subway WTC and Chambers St stations are not far away. Read less
