The Fifty Hotel is convenient and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. My room was spacious and attractive, king size bed, sofa bed that was comfortable to sit on, excellent lighting. There was a closet and lots of drawers and shelves. The bathroom was nice sized, plenty of thick towels, walk in shower. One oddity, the vanity was about 3’ deep and… Read more

There was a closet and lots of drawers and shelves. The bathroom was nice sized, plenty of thick towels, walk in shower. One oddity, the vanity was about 3’ deep and the only mirror was above it. Hard to see to put on makeup or shave. It’s also surprising that there aren’t extra outlets next to the bed for electronics in this day and age. The hotel charges an annoying daily resort fee which allows $10 from the snack and beverage selection. The choices were limited however, chips and popcorn were the only edibles. On balance this is a good choice and I’d stay again. Read less

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff was courteous, helpful and very professional. The furniture in the one bedroom suite could use some updating however the kitchen the was well equipped and the location is excellent. We will stay there again.

Loved this hotel. From start to finish! The doormen are amazing - especially Romeo, who learnt our names very quickly. Check in and out was made very easy. The reception staff were fab too. The room was basic - but a very good base for our stay - my view is that it is somewhere to put your head down for the night. Housekeeping came in every… Read more

The room was basic - but a very good base for our stay - my view is that it is somewhere to put your head down for the night. Housekeeping came in every day. There was little bits missed - like an empty bottle behind one of the bedside tables - but all in all, very good. About 15 mins walk from Times Square, so still a little noisy at night with rubbish/garbage collections and horns peeping znd sirens - but that isn't the fault of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again. We were made to feel very welcome and even when they had a disruptive guest, they couldn't apologise enough. Close to Grand Central station, St Patrick's cathedral and Top of the Rock. Read less

Everyone was friendly and helpful. I suppose the bathroom could have been better cleaned. It smelled a bit musty but I had disinfectant wipes & used them on the shower curtains/shower. It was fine after that. (I didn't bother mentioning to the hotel.) Everything else was great. The location was convenient and nice with the subway 1-2 blocks away… Read more

It was fine after that. (I didn't bother mentioning to the hotel.) Everything else was great. The location was convenient and nice with the subway 1-2 blocks away as well as a 24 hour Duane Reade. I picked up bagels across the street a few mornings. The suite was SO nice - kitchenette was really useful with a burner and small pans, small fridge, microwave, dishes/utensils, sink, and dishsoap. It was really roomy and perfect for me & two teenagers. (I told them NY hotels usually aren't this spacious & to lower their expectation for next time.) Read less

We stayed 6 nights and will definitely go back! The staff were all really helpful and genuinely friendly. The rooms are a lot bigger than I've previously experienced in New York. Top tip, if you go to Grand Central Station (10 mins) they have a deli/food market at the front that has an amazing sushi stall! Lots of other deli foods available. Downstairs is Magnolia bakery!
