Wow! We just returned from our staycation at the Bahia Hotel on Mission Bay. I don't care if you are a native San Diegan or a first timer to the area. You just can't NOT love the property of the Bahia and the location that it boast. The people there are so inviting. From the front desk (thank you Tracy Mange) to the bellman (Jhonny Escalante Lopez) we had the most remarkable stay. We enjoyed the live music by the pool and the drinks that were expertly poured by your bar keeper (I can't remember his name but he was so friendly as he concocted the perfect drink for our afternoon party). We also enjoyed breakfast at the Bahia and our server was right on top of her game! It was one of our most favorite staycations and we can't wait to come back next year! Read less

We just got married at the Bahia Hotel in San Diego and I can't stop raving about the experience. Heather Dobler greeted us from the very start and hooked us up with the amazing, Jenna Nickl, who is the service manager for the Bahia. She Handled every wedding detail like it was her own. Any questions we had, she answered them before we even asked them. And if there was anything we needed, she was just an email away. She made us feel like our wedding was her priority. Sheryl Smith expertly handled our dinner on board the William D. Evans paddle wheel boat and it was quite a wonderful experience for our guest as we were served in white glove style. John White expertly piloted the boat for two hours on the bay while we danced the nice away. Our out of town guest could not believe the beauty to behold of Mission Bay aboard this boat. Tracy Mangi was at the front desk and didn't miss a beat when we asked her to deliver bottles of champagne to our wedding party guest. And a big shout out to Jhonny Escalante Lopez for helping us move across the property to a new room because we requested a more private area for our wedding. Everyone treated us as is we were the most important guest in your hotel on a very busy weekend. The service was top-knotch and we could not have had a better setting for our wedding day! Kudos to the Bahia for making this weekend amazing for us both! Read less

Counter for the sink had coffee grounds stuck to it. Carpet looked at least 10 years old. Absolutely not a resort!!! Old buildings with tiny room number that were not lighted. I had to get out of my car to see the room numbers. Got back to my room around 9:30pm. Called the desk to see if they had a place to eat. Already closed. Next asked about room service. Already done for the night. Tried breakfast the next morning. Menu or buffet. Looked at menu. Not many choices and almost as much as buffet. Chose buffet. No omelette station no carving station. Tray of scrambled eggs. Had bacon sausage potatoes fruits and some chiche product on buffet. The chiche was inedible and the rest was just ok. Buffet with tax and tip $24. Do NOT stay here!!!
