Despite the semi-dated decor and design, this hotel is beyond amazing. The grounds are well maintained and all the staff are friendly and helpful. My favorite employees that I interacted with during my stay were Brii, Jaime, and Tracy. They set the standard for great customer service.

We decided on a last minute visit to San Diego, not realizing we were visiting the week of Comic-Con. So if you come here, you're going to pay high prices for any event/holiday week. We decided on a last minute visit to San Diego, not realizing we were visiting the week of Comic-Con. So if you come here, you're going to pay high prices for any event/holiday week. We stayed in a stupid King garden view. It was perfect for our family of four (two kids ages 12 & 8). There's a kid size bed, a pullout couch , coffee table, flat screen TV with DirecTV (cartoons for kids!) A small kitchen with a four burner electric stove with an oven, a microwave, fridge, eating utensils, and sink. There's a makeup table with a seat/mirror and a shower tub combo in the bathroom. If you get a studio king, ask for a ground floor garden view near the bay and you will get a hammock right in front of your patio! The resort grounds are absolutely beautiful. They have a garden with a pond to walk through, full of stag horn ferns, angel trumpets, ficus, palm trees...we are planning a spring trip for 2020 just to admire their garden! They offer free kids activities as well which my you get child loved. Mexican resorts charge for this. But this was included with our stay. My son made his own piggy bank, a sand necklace, and a sand picture! He loved it! Complimentary cookies in the lobby after 2pm, which they bake on site. The resort also offers discount tickets to the San Diego Zoo, Safari Park, and SeaWorld. Included with your stay is a complimentary cruise on the Bahia Belle. It's about 1.5 hours around Mission Bay. We had such a great time!!! The pool is heated and the jacuzzi is nice and hot. They have an exercise room and an arcade room with old school free arcade games. If you come make sure you bring your own bikes, if you have a truck. The beach, Belmont Park, and Mission Beach Boardwalk is a five minute bike ride down the street. You can also bike around the bay. The only negative thing about this resort is underneath the sink in the kitchen and the bathroom smelled like mildew. And they don't provide any dish soap or sponges to wash dishes with. Read less

Our time at the Bahia was short. The rooms were dated but very clean. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Especially the two arts and crafts associates by the pool area! Sara and George were such friendly and kind teachers to my 3 little ones. They were fun and interactive. It definitely allowed my husband and I to relax by the pool… Read more

Security Guard Terry was very professional and attentive. He assisted me and my family in the arcade when we were having trouble. Overall all of the employees were outstanding but I will like to give a special thanks to Terry, Dunai, Jada, and Jai.

The hotel itself is on Mission Bay. So you basically can walk out to the beach from your hotel room. The pool is great, and the restaurant breakfast buffet is excellent. The cocktail cruise was delightful. It is free if you are a hotel guest. Lots of activities on campus for adults and kids. You are less than half a mile from Belmont Park and the Pacific Ocean. Only an 8-10 min uber from sea world, and abt 15 min uber from Gaslamp. Great times! Read less
