mostly empty hotel, decent room with balcony overlooking a somewhat noisy pool. breakfast and parking included via travelzoo promo for $111/night. Worth it? Not sure. Hotel circle location is isolated from anything San Diego is known for, tho freeways easily accessible (traffic is another story...).

I loved getting an upstairs room at the end of the hall with an awesome view of the pool. The room was very quiet and everything I needed, but a microwave and small fridge would be helpful. The hot tub was nice but not hot enough for me, but everything was clean. I loved the fully developed trees. Brings back great memories as I have stayed… Read more

And to top it off, excellent live entertainment in the lounge that night. Read less

Worn out outdated property. In good repair but old. Lobby and carpet old. Worst of all was the 15 dollar parking fee that was not disclosed in advance. Captive to that as there is no other place to park nearby. Been here before and not had to pay but they now are. Seems trivial but if they were in an area of high density like downtown area then it… Read more

Seems trivial but if they were in an area of high density like downtown area then it might make sense. I think many hotels have developed the airline disease of ripping off whenever they can. Motel is dated and had a musty odor. The in and out parking was nice. Had dinner in the restaurant was ok, had pizza and a cup of soup. Overall wasn’t bad but nicer motels on the north Loop side. Staff was friendly for the interaction I had.

Quality hotel at a reasonable price. I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference held in their large conference rooms. Rooms are comparable to A Marriott Courtyard. Had to disconnect and reconnect into the wifi each day, but once done the wifi worked fine. Clean and anything this is not up to standards, the staff corrects right away and there are no further problems. Close to shopping mall, Old town and Balboa Park. There are no elevators, so if you have problems with stairs, you need to notify staff when reserving a room. The catered food was ok very similar to pre made meals you'd get from Costco - iceberg lettuce salad with chunks of chicken, diced tomato, and a spoonful of bacon bits; sliced turkey deli meat on a croissant; sausage paddy, scrambled egg, cheddar cheese between an English muffing; scrambled egg, cheddar in a small flour tortilla. Our room had a balcony but we did not use the balcony because it faced the freeway resulting in too much exhaust and noise. Other rooms faced the pool. Not sure what was on the back side of the hotel. Doors are good at keeping out noise and smog. Read less
