Last minute stay at the Handlery. Parking excellent love when you can park outside the door. They charge $15 a night but that’s cheaper than other places we looked. Location is great if you have a car or use Uber. We didn’t use buses or trains but they are nearby we heard. Laundry on site $2 a time. Food in restaurant we would avoid. Man who… Read more

So, where do I begin? Well first this was the second hotel we stayed in after the overpriced motel we barely survived the night in! The Handlery was just a life saver in a short period of time. It was clean and comfortable and had dining options on the property. The pool and hot tubs were great. The facilities and vending/microwave room were good to have if you brought back leftovers or your own food to be budget friendly. The staff were helpful. Another nice offering was the infused water in the lobby. The amenities were good, and rooms were spacious. Beds were comfortable. The balcony overlooking the pool was a nice bonus! Definitely will be back! Read less

Sadly we had a very poor experience here. We travel across the state's and this hotel was well below our expectations. Reception staff not very helpful or friendly. Rooms are of a basic standard. We had a disabled room which quite frankly was very poor. Pool is nice, housekeeping were lovely, but can't say anything else that is positive.

I have stayed at this hotel over the years many times. The property is declining rapidly and the staff is poorly trained and un-friendly. They charge $15 a day for parking which is a complete slap in the face. This added cost is not indicated on their website or the other booking websites. No other hotel in the area adds a parking fee. There are many competing hotels in that area. My advise if to look for alternatives to the Handlery. Read less

There's something about the 950 Lounge at The Handlery--it's the Sunday jazz sessions at 4:30. An odd assortment of jazz lovers, musicians, and old folks gather promptly at 4:30 to listen quietly to world-class jazz. As the sun sets outside, the wooden blinds allow a golden glow across the lounge. There's a NYC ambience.
