The room was very nicely decorated, with many extra amenities (large TV with great channels, mini bar with lots of options, rain shower head, and a very comfortable bed), very quiet even though it was Comic-Con week with lots of people attending the event, and the staff was extremely helpful in making my stay a memorable one. If you are visit San Diego and want to be close to downtown area, the Hard Rock is the best place to be. It is centrally located with lots of bars and restaurants near by, close to transportation to take you to any place in San Diego, and a great view of the bay. Read less

This was our first time staying in downtown for Comic Con and it blew me away. Such a friendly staff, great events and the location was amazing. It will be hard to top! I felt like a true rock star. If you get a chance to stay there, jump on it ASAP!

The location is perfect, their staff is friendly and always available. Their check out system via text as well as customer service is GREAT! We used to stay at the Hilton Bayfront and I'm sure this will be our destination for 2020!

Recently stayed at Hard Rock for the Comic Con convention, and let me tell you... It was insane & phenomenal at the same time. The four nights we stayed were amazing, and it wouldn’t have happened without the best service from each of their staff members. Tim at valet, Andrew at Bell, Olivia at front desk, Drew up at Float, and many more! These… Read more

Pro- Location across from convention center and surrounded by dinning options great. Staff was very nice. Con - bathroom was split into 3 separate areas. Shower on left wall, toilet on other wall and sink outside shower. The glass surrounds did not reach the ceilings and were frosted glass. We actually got posters and covered the glass in order to have some degree of privacy. The gap between the glass door and the ceiling in the toilet could not be remedied. Con - we went down to the pool which had cabanas and lounges and found that all the cabanas and more than half of the lounges had reserved signs on them, about %10 were actually in use. (These were all the ones that had shade.) I asked about those and was told those were reserved for people who ordered from the bar. Ordering soda did not count and I do not drink. There was, however, one lounge open in the cheap seats on the far side of the pool in the sun. . Read less
