We stayed at the Hyatt from July 30 - August 1. I took my three nieces/nephews who are young adults. I wanted to make it special for them, so I booked two rooms for two nights on the "ocean" side for $645 per room. My total bill was $2,580. We were given rooms on the "marina" side over laundry. When I went down to question the placement of our rooms, I was gaslighted (told us there were no more rooms on the ocean side, could not put two rooms together, etc.) Finally, the manager resolved the problem with a $200 credit and put us in the correct rooms. Initially, we went to the "marina" room. There were no carts or bell person to help with luggage. It was chaotic. We were given help when we changed rooms. This whole process took us about two hours. We appreciate the credit, but if I had not gone back downstairs, staff would have been happy to let me overpay for the rooms. Overall, the property is small and the view is over the "bay" not the "ocean". The valet service was prompt. Read less

Great hotel for family with kids that can enjoy the pool and water slides. (3 total, 1 for little kids and 2 for bigger kids). Directly across from Sea World San Diego. Great staff. The hotel is a bit older and probably needs to be renovated but overall still a great hotel
