This experience was disappointing to say the least. $42 for parking, beds were too soft, sheets to scratchy, the price point for the view alone is about right. The tv channels were terrible it’s barely basic cable so the pay per view was $40 to entertain the kids. The pool is 3.5 ft, no more so great for families with small kids. The ocean view… Read more

The ocean view beats the street view by far. I stayed before at the Comfort Inn and suites last time and the Hotel Circle location was cleaner, with better beds and bedding. The room was still dusty and they barely cleaned the bathroom. Hair in the shower still. Hypoallergenic this room was NOT, although we requested it. Read less

We spent Sunday October 4th - Thursday October 8th here and had a wonderful time! Reserve the fire pit and have the smores and charcuterie boards. The team here does a very good job with the COVID restrictions. We traveled with some friends and between the two families we have a 6, 5 and 4 year old. The kids loved hanging out at the pool.… Read more

Huge Shout out to William the lifeguard at the water slides, he was very engaging with the kids and made it more fun for everyone at the pool! Read less

I love this resort so much, that I have actually stayed here twice already this month! I live in rural San Diego, so sometimes when I come to San Diego, I like to gets hotel so that I don’t have to worry about driving an hour home. Anyway, I am quite loyal to Hyatt hotels. They are generally well kept, the staffs are almost always really great, and they are quite generous with points/promos, etc... But this hotel is one of my favorite Hyatts... if I ever have an issue, they are so keen to rectify it immediately and everyone is so friendly. At the front desk, the restaurants, housekeeping! Literally everyone. I especially remember Matilde (who was so nice checking me in), the manager Kimberley, and also the daytime front desk manager, who’s name I forgot... maybe Sherry? This hotel is also very centrally located in San Diego and you have easy access to the 8 and 5 freeways, but with such beautiful grounds and rooms, it’s unlikely that you’ll want to leave. My rooms here have been so comfortable every time I have stayed here. They are well kept and nicely appointed. I have stayed in the marina suites which are spacious and newly renovated one bedroom suites that are good for families because there is a good amount of space and there is a door that separates the living room from the bedroom- in case your kids go to sleep before you, etc. But my favorite room so far has been a “marina view corner suite.” Specifically room 1701. It is just below the penthouse terrace suites, but to me- it really feels like a penthouse! The view was incredible and the room size and setup was perfect!! I wish I had taken more pictures of the view and room but I will update this review when I go back! It does get pricey here on weekends sometimes, so it helps to book in advance or use points if you can! Cheers! Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Corner ocean view room a must!!!

I enjoy ocean views. When looking for a hotel, this is at the top of my list. The corner room truly delivered. Very relaxing and beautiful. Pools looked very inviting although I didn't have time to indulge. Staff was very accommodating as they corrected my marina view room to ocean view. bathroom wad a bit small.

I understand that the ocean air can be a detriment to these rooms and their quality. However, there should be ways to counteract some of the rooms overall quality. I rated our stay as average because although the room was clean except for the mold under the rim of the sink but the couch is old and the pull out sofa was so lumpy. The good… Read more

I rated our stay as average because although the room was clean except for the mold under the rim of the sink but the couch is old and the pull out sofa was so lumpy. The good things about it were the location near the beach and the pool area. Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to take advantage of the free activities like the paddle boarding and yoga so I can’t rate them. Also, there should be free breakfast. There are ways to offer this great amenity and still adhere to Covid restrictions. Overall, I’d stay here again. Read less
