It was by fur one of the stays ever the staffs was magnificent and very helpful. They even sent gifts and a card up to my room on my birthday now that was excellent. I would come back and recommend Kona Kia resort to all. I wanna especially thank Gabby who welcomed us and made us feel good.

I booked a "deluxe" room on Travelocity, described as 350 sq ft., for 10 nights. It was very small, likely a third less than that (226). Traveling with two kids and staying for ten days, it felt very cramped. There were only three small drawers to put things away, and no room to walk around the beds at all. Traveling with two kids and staying for ten days, it felt very cramped. There were only three small drawers to put things away, and no room to walk around the beds at all. We switched to a cheaper hotel halfway through, which had a room that was 350 sq ft, and it was much bigger. The Kona Kai felt very much like a bait and switch. Beautiful resort and location, very small room, not suited for a long stay. Would not go back. Read less

We reserved a block of rooms for our wedding weekend and many guests had issues booking or getting in contact with the hotel. Many of my calls and emails were ignored as well. Once onsite there were many noise complaints of other guests partying in their rooms until the wee hours of the night that went unresolved by the staff. Overall it just… Read more

After a small miscommunication with the reservation company, the front desk fixed it immediately and there was not one hiccup after. The staff went To great lengths to make it a memorable experience. We visit San Diego pretty regularly and it was hands down the best hotel experience we have had so far. From beginning to end, it was an 11 out of 10. Thank you for spoiling my family! Read less
