Lovely hotel and well located. Booking, check in/out were seamless. We were charged a daily Resort feed that included a $5 a day credit at the cafe. We found out at check out that this had to be used per dime and wasn’t accumulative. No big deal but would have been nice to know for clarity. We would recommend and also return to this hotel if… Read more

My mother's Day present was 24 hours away from home, staying at the Fairmont Olympic, ordering room service, and getting, a couple spa treatments at Penelope and the Beauty Bar. I got the Seattle Staycation package with early check-in and late check-out, and included self-parking. My stay met my expectations in every way, I left well rested and… Read more

We did a quick overnight at Fairmont Olympic recently for a birthday. They are back firing on all cylinders post-COVID. Our Amex Fine Hotels booking upgraded to a junior suite - spacious and comfortable. We had dinner with a friend in the newly-reopened Georgian Room - the food was fantastic and the wine list well-curated. The service was excellent, especially given how hopping the place was for a Tuesday night. Every table looked occupied, so book ahead if you're planning a visit. The speakeasy-style Founders Room cocktail bar served immaculately-prepped craft cocktails. The bartenders riffed on off-menu drinks after they figured out what we liked - the mark of skilled mixologists. Overall, a great choice for a downtown Seattle stay. Read less

After booking I noticed and became concerned with the rank of #33 hotel which shocked me because I have stayed at every (Old CP) Fairmont in Canada and they are second to none. After our stay that I feel the ranking is deserved and maybe even a bit too high. The hotel lobby is beautiful and bubbling with activity, but the (new!) room decor is tacky faux luxury - bright stark white lights with no dimmers, No phone charge connections, terrible shower, Annoying blind pulls, Cheap everything, Unmatched color schemes - the unbelievable crunchy towels that looked like they've seen better days. Gross smelling products, etc. Nothing felt special or 4 star. NOT LUX! The pool area is small and nice but very shallow leading to scraped knees. The service is lacking. The doormen don't take your bags (even if you are elderly and have 4 bags) or open the door. They are pleasant enough but not very proficient. The cleaning staff is by request only and are very inconsistent - one night a bucket of ice/next night not.. one day knocking at door at 8 AM for no apparent reason, one night knocking a door to deliver a welcome note and mini-box of chocolates on our 3rd night. There was no room service and I was told to order delivery and it would be brought to our room. So I did. The delivery app showed the delivery had been made. ONE HOUR later, a knock came on the door by a bellboy with the cold food. I refused the food and said the hotel could pay for it and we went to bed hungry after travelling all day. The front desk (after asking) gave me a credit that JUST covered the no-food bill and acted like they were doing me a big favour. I got a good price for the room but it was not worth it even at the discount price. I like a place with heart and soul. This is not it. The BEST thing about the Olympic is the location!! Walk everywhere. Will be visiting Seattle a lot and enjoy treating ourselves to nice hotels but this isn't it. PS: was told on the last day that the $20/day "resort fee" offers a $5 credit at the coffee shop. Parking is $60/day. Read less

5 night stay. Food selection is too exotic for room service. They got the order wrong 3 times: sent tables when requested not, and not large orders; charged double for one dessert order. Cold water in shower, twice. Coffee pot inaccessible for an older person. Worse problem: Manager asked for this feedback; I wrote it: got no response at… Read more

Cold water in shower, twice. Coffee pot inaccessible for an older person. Worse problem: Manager asked for this feedback; I wrote it: got no response at all. Friendly staff, clean room. No one really listening. No better than some Hiltons. Our son just moved there. There will be more trips. Not likely to stay at Fairmont. (And no, I'm not looking for a refund on anything--would just like to be heard.) Read less
