This hotel was excellent for a few days in Seattle. Great location and very helpful staff. Decor is updated and fun. We very much appreciated being able to text the front desk staff with any questions or concerns rather than calling. Would definitely return to this hotel.

We stayed here 2 nights and another hotel 3 nights. Kimpton Monaco was supposed to be our "splurge" nights stay. For the price we paid we were very disappointed. The staff was kind. The room was clean but not up to par for the price we paid. One cabinet knob was barely attached . Bathroom sink faucets didn't work right. Bad water pressure in… Read more

The room was clean but not up to par for the price we paid. One cabinet knob was barely attached . Bathroom sink faucets didn't work right. Bad water pressure in shower. One night the restaurant closed earlier. Inconvenient because we had planned our meals and timing of according to the time they were supposed to be open until. Only option to watch anything besides regular TV was to buy movies for $19.99!! The less expensive "non-splurge" hotel had chromecast capabilities to watch any of my phone movie apps. They were both centrally located to downtown. But other hotel was far supreme. One thing Monaco did better was the bed, it was very, very comfy! Read less

The staff were all warm and welcoming, from the parking valet to the front desk and housekeeping. Hotel is convenient to almost everything downtown, parking is valet and the best deal around. Trust me , I checked. Hotel is cheery, room decor is colorful and eclectic. Coffee or tea available in the lobby each morning, but that's it. No coffemakers… Read more

No coffemakers in the rooms but Starbucks is right next door. Only neg was the onsite restaurant. Had arranged to meet family for relaxing late dinner and drinks and after ordering server was told they were going to close early, before rest of party had even arrived. Regardless rest of experience was positive and would stay here again. Read less

My husband shakes his head at me because I can usually predict a hotel by its bath products and this hotel has FANTASTIC bath products! Hotel Monaco made our New Year’s trip to Seattle so much more enjoyable! It reaffirms our commitment to stay in more boutique hotels and stay away from the big hotel chains. The decor, the friendly staff, the amenities such as their gym, their breakfast service and complimentary wine nights not to mention the ideal proximity to the downtown core and waterfront are some of the reasons why this hotel so appealing. We didn’t use our car once during our 4 day stay. I would definitely stay here again! Read less

The checkin process was rather smooth and desk staff were rather friendly and prompt. Sadly, we didn’t spend the night in this hotel due to bedbugs! The checkin process was rather smooth and desk staff were rather friendly and prompt. Sadly, we didn’t spend the night in this hotel due to bedbugs! As we were getting ready for bed, we noticed one crawl (rather quickly) across the bed. We promptly called the front desk who collected the bedbug. Upon discussion with them they said this was the first living one they had seen. We left our pajamas there and discarded the rest of the belongings. We were told they would follow up with us, but never heard anything back. Severely disappointed! Read less
