Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

It’s not called ‘Vintage’ for nothing — this is the Grand Cru of Seattle hotels, with interiors, wine lists, and social get togethers, all under the influence of Washington State’s wine country. It may be in downtown Seattle, but step into this boutique retreat and you may feel like you’re in a tasting room, surrounded by earthy shades blended with grape greens and burgundy. It’s the perfect place to sample the region’s fine tipples, with a complimentary wine hour every evening. Why not move on to the award-winning Tulio Ristorante, where you can tuck into Italian classics that come with a fresh Northwest twist — and a wine cellar of course.

With its wine-themed decor, the room was both sophisticated and comfortable. The lobby has a cozy living room feel, and is a great location to enjoy the free coffee in the morning and the wine hour in the evening. The location of the hotel is convenient to the convention center and Pike Place Market. I will definitely come back. Read less

Very happy I chose this swanky little hotel right in the middle of everything! ‘Mikala’ went above and beyond to ensure our stay was flawless. We received several text message throughout our stay just checking in on us. Which I really loved!! Who does this? Nobody!!! One of them had restaurant recommendations which we took them up on. We received several text message throughout our stay just checking in on us. Which I really loved!! Who does this? Nobody!!! One of them had restaurant recommendations which we took them up on. The Purple Cafe. Lovely ambiance, close walking distance and great food. The room was beautiful with updated decor, spotless and clean and the bed was super comfortable. Our flight wasn’t leaving until 5pm and we had 7 suitcases and bags to lug around….Mikala accommodated us with a 2pm checkout which really was the cherry on top of our stay. You don’t find customer service like this anymore and I wish all hotels could take note. This is how exceptional customer service is given. Cheers to you Mikala and your staff on a job well done. We are happy to have met you and we will be back!! Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Beware of corner king room - photos embellish

We splurged and booked a king corner room here because the photos of it were amazing - windows on two sides, nice and bright! In reality, the hotel only has a few corner rooms like that. We splurged and booked a king corner room here because the photos of it were amazing - windows on two sides, nice and bright! In reality, the hotel only has a few corner rooms like that. When we checked in, we had a room that was a king corner but windows only on one side and the room was much darker. When we asked the front desk staff about the pictures, she said they didn’t have any rooms like that… even though we showed her the website. So we waited until morning and there was a new front desk staff person. She told us only a few rooms like that existed and was able to get us in to one of them after a few hours. Thank you! Overall, we wouldn’t stay here again, especially for the price. When you’re paying close to $400 a night at Kimpton, you expect higher quality: 1. Overall, with the exception of the one staff member who helped us, we encountered rude or unfriendly staff throughout our stay. 2. The rooms are fine. Not great. Just fine. The hotel is aging and the rooms lack any kind of luster. The windows were dirty. The bathrooms are teeny tiny and the showers were old. The beds were mediocre and the furniture was old and frumpy. Not what you expect out of a Kimpton. Supposedly the rooms are supposed to showcase a different local winery. But all we could figure out was that they had the winery name on the door and that’s it. No special decorations and no additional information about the winery. Overall, this is a hotel trying to market itself as fancy, but needs considerable work. Save your money and stay elsewhere. There are plenty of hotels in that price range in Seattle that are newer and have better amenities. Read less

I complained to the manager and she did not respond. Have stayed there a few times before and had good service, but I guess after being taken over by a bigger corporation they simply do not care. Room was noisy, bathroom was dangerously slippery, toilet ant each time we flushed. Coffee service in morning used to be very nice, now just coffee. I understand Covid, but this was not acceptable on any level Read less
