Kimpton Hotel Vintage Seattle

Seattle, Seattle & Washington State

The hotel

It’s not called ‘Vintage’ for nothing – this is the Grand Cru of Seattle hotels, with interiors, wine lists, and evening receptions all under the influence of Washington State’s wine country. It may be in downtown Seattle, between Pike Place Market and Pioneer Square, but step into this Fifth Avenue retreat and you’re surrounded by vineyard colours: earthy shades are blended with grape greens and burgundy. It’s the perfect backdrop for sampling the region’s fine tipples, with a complimentary wine hour every evening. If the tastes inspire you, Tulio Ristorante pairs its haute take on rustic Italian classics with a fabulous wine cellar. Before they uncork the wine, Hotel Vintage serves complimentary morning tea and coffee to set you up for hitting the shops, sights or free 24-hour fitness centre.

What a great find! We were upgraded to a corner room on the ninth floor with lots of light and a nice view. I just spent 2 relaxing nights at this Kimpton. Although I don't believe I met him specifically, I would like to mention Thomas. Whom I was told was the individual who blocked the room I was given when I checked in. You assigned me a very nice room that met all my needs for this stay. Thomas, thank you very much!

Great, classic Kimpton. Good antique vibe with the room, but enough modern features to feel like its intentional instead of outdated. Bed was comfortable. Great tall windows that looked out onto street. Location is 2-3 blocks from Fish Market, a couple of blocks away from one of the bar/uber fancy coffee formats Starbucks is testing, and close to Amazon Go store. Staff was all great, housekeeping team was lovely and very thorough. The only thing that was unexpected--i thought from their website i' d be able to book a car through them; the car rentals are through an app called Car2Go and you'll need to register for the app a few days before you need the rental, so there is time for your verfifistion and approval to go through. Once that's done, there are plenty of cars parked close to the hotel. Read less

This is the perfect hotel room for my style and when I saw the rooms, online, I knew I had to stay in there. You will arrive and think that because the lobby isn’t huge, that you will be cheated out of room space, thinking that the online pictures are lies. The pictures are true, the rooms are beautiful, HUGE, and well furnished! The bed was perfectly firm and as soon as I got in it, I went to sleep immediately. The pillow there come in a variety of styles, so you can pick whatever type best fits you, which I needed after long days of hiking. Perfect sleeping arrangement and the other neighbors were very quiet, although the hotel was completely packed so sleep quality is high in this place. The room feels like your own bedroom with space to actually sit in the seat and put your feet up on the ottoman to read a book. Facilities are very well maintained. Excellent! As I mentioned, the rooms are really big, the bed is really big, the bathroom and even the closet space are both big too. The room has a safe, which is a major plus in my book, to lock away valuables. You are a few blocks distance from the waterfront and a bunch of stores, which is perfectly located just far away from some possibly troubling sorts that line some of the streets, if you are afraid of them. They’re harmless, but in case you are afraid, the hotel is far enough away from that scene to make you comfortable. Know that stores close early there (sometime after about 6pm), you’re in the business area, so, go buy what you need earlier in the day and store it in your room (e.g. water, snacks). It's in the perfect location to move around Seattle. The internet was about 7mbs consistently, and it was included so you can do just about all you need on the internet with the included package. I was on the 11th floor, had no problems at all with signals, another plus because I had work to do and it didn’t let me down with video conferencing and file transfers. If you get hungry, Tulio is a good place to eat, which is in the lobby, but you might have to hike a bit to get to something else that might satiate your palate, especially as the night progresses. I’d head to the waterfront daily, for variety. Also, the staff is very nice and helpful, they can point you to places of interest. My top choice for hotel stay, and I will return here. Read less
