The lobby is beautiful and the front desk agent Alejandra was very professional at check-in! She also gave me a surprise upgrade to a really nice suite with a view which was much appreciated. The bed was cozy and the linens were high quality. Thanks for the great stay!

Thanks to the wonderful front desk team member and their management at the Kimpton Vintage we were able to move our reservation from the Kimpton Vintage to the Kimpton Monaco. There was nothing wrong with the Kimpton Vintage and it is a lovely hotel. We simply moved because we were staying the weekend the breakfast at the Vintage is served in the Tulio restaurant which is closed for breakfast over the weekend. This meant that we'd have to walk one block to the sister hotel, Monaco, for breakfast. Between the two hotels the staff were excellent in helping us transfer our reservation to the Monaco. This was very much appreciated. Our stay the Monaco was great. The hotel staff are very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. We'd like to give a special shout out to Leanne Larkin, who is the concierge, as she was very kind, patient, and she was wonderful in accommodating our requirements. The hotel location is excellent and the rooms are spacious and well maintained. We prefer buffet style breakfasts because we like to have a variety of options and the breakfast at the Monaco has a limited menu but a sufficient number of choices. The staff were wonderful, polite and addressed anything that we needed promptly and politely. Our stay was wonderful and we will will be returning there for our next stay. Parking: As with most hotels in the area, parking is expensive, and there are two other options. Street parking which is free between 8pm and 8am, and limited to a maximum of 2 hours per location during the day. There are plenty of garages available that are reasonably priced for Seattle, (which has one of the highest rates for parking around), be aware that many close in the evening so you need to plan getting your vehicle out before they close. Street parking is free on Sundays and public holidays, with no time restrictions. Read less

I had been wanting to stay here for some time! The experience we had was mostly positive except for a few things the hotel could improve upon. The hotel is dog friendly which was fantastic and did have a dog walking area around the corner that they gave us access to. The front desk guy, Adam, was hands down the nicest person. He was helpful and always welcomed us back to the hotel when we got back. He was so accommodating and nice to us the whole time. Adam made checkin easy and had towels delivered to our room. The hotel also had a plant pals program which they let us have a plant in our room for our stay which was nice. We really didn’t have any issues until check out. We checked out on January 10 and the girl at the front desk had dark hair, I didn’t know her name but she was so rude. She acted like it was a problem to answer questions. I had a question about my bill and she made faces and stood there in silence and when she did answer, it was sassy. We asked her if she could call the vallet for us. She said she would but she didn’t. She let us sit up front for 25 minutes in the cold. We had to ask her again and the vallet finally came and said that she had not told him. He apologized for the wait. The first vallet was quite nice too. He had long dark hair and was so sweet to us throughout our stay. Other than the front desk girls rude behavior, we had a lovely stay. The hotel was clean and we were super comfy in the room which was beautiful! Read less

I was agonizing over which hotel to stay in with my husband, his elderly mother, and my dog: it needed to be close to the art museum, have suites, a restaurant, secure parking and be pet friendly. Finally, I realized I could just stay at the Hotel Monaco again (my 6th time?). As an IHG Diamond member, I was given an upgrade, breakfast, snacks and drinks in the room, and overall VIP treatment from the excellent concierge, Leanne. My mother in law kept saying, "This place is so "swonky"!" I've stayed here several times in the past, but my husband and I just discovered the super fun pinball room this time on the lower level - four machines free to guests. Sure, it is getting a little outdated, but I read that it is due for a remodel soon. Rooms are in good shape despite their age, very clean and spacious. They really took great care of us! Read less

Unfortunate that this hotel is not as good as their hotel rate would suggest. Over a year since the worst of the Covid excuses hotels used to not give the full service that the high rates would suggest. This hotel also has other problems. Their restaurant will not take guests unless they have a reservation, even though the restaurant was only 25% full. Or at least their host, didn’t want to work. After being out all day, returned to the room at 5 p.m. and of course they didn’t clean or make up the room. Front desk says I needed to let them know I wanted full service when I checked in. Again, the rate for this hotel is 40% more than it was a year ago. As I needed to work from my room, I wanted to watch football while I worked. Unfortunately they do not have a local and free NBC channel in the room. Good location but lacking in a lot of areas. Read less
